NHL 2008-09 Season

I checked the score of Bruins/Sabres, and Buffalo is winning 5-0, but it's a meaningless end-of-the-season game.

Bill, don't get panicky about the score- Boston has clinched everything there is to clinch (division title, top seed in East), Chara's resting (good choice; don't want to risk him getting hurt in a meaningless game), and my Sabres gain nothing from the win (if they played like this most of the season, maybe they'd get in).

That's why I told you earlier in the season that I didn't want to face the Sabres in the playoffs. They've played the Bruins tougher than any team this year.

BTW, the Sabres ended up winning, 6-1. By virtue of that, the Sharks clinched the Presidents' Trophy.

We've also got the potential of having the Wings and Ducks and probably Sharks

That's why the Red Wings deserve all the credit in the world, they've been very successful the last 10+ years despite all the traveling they have to do. :up

Yes,
I'm sure it's no fun, even though they have the Red Bird One to fly in, it's still grueling going back and forth.

It also sux for the fans with 10:00 and 10:30 starts....

I go to work all day, eat and take a nap on game nights and hope to be able to see all of the game.

The battle of Pennsylvania is about to begin ! (cue dramatic music) <lol>
Now as long as the Blackout grubbing NHLN keeps it's hands off the Flyers I'll be happy !
Here's to Center Ice & VS only !!!

Malkin, Crosby, Fleury- damn, that new arena is going to have a hell of a team to house.

No offense cybok, but unlike when the Pirates moved to PNC, the new place will have a very good team.

(PNC Park is a great stadium, but the team- not so much.)

I agree, that is what makes so many Pirate fans upset. When they were getting approved for the new park, they promised with the new park they would be able to afford to be competitive every year.

The Bruins were the only NHL team to not give up at least 200 goals. The B's allowed 196 goals, and Minnesota was next with 200 GA.

Also, the Bruins were the second highest scoring team with 274 goals. Only the Red Wings, with 295 scored more.
