NFL Reinstates Michael Vick

As true as everything is that you said, it's still bothersome for Vick to be pointing fingers, at his friends or anyone, especially when talking to kids. You would like to think Vick's message would be 'I made a mistake, I was wrong, and now I'm trying to make up for it', instead of telling kids how it wasn't all his fault.

Sandra

Doesn't bother me, he's right, and I suspect he said much more than the dozen or two words picked for an article. Why quote boring stuff when you can throw up a line that can potentially be taken out of context further and used against him.

There's talk in Tennessee that he could replace Vince Young on the roster as soon as a couple of weeks from now, and once he's got the offense down succeed Kerry Collins.

I agree with BOTH your post!:up

exactly. Its like he has said He is sorry and now the story changes. Redemption and rehabilitation of a person doesnt work that way. If he keeps spouting nonsense that someone else betrayed him and that was his big mistake then he will never change. He personally financed it, new exactly what was happeneing, bet on the dogs and even killed them with his own hands.

Part of Vick's problem was the company he kept, Blank said, and weeding out the bad influences and associating with people who have his best interests at heart will be a key to redemption and a possible return to the NFL.

That's the Falcons owner, in May. I'd say Vick is pretty much on message. All you've got is one line out of context, or do you think he said that and left?

Was the whole transcript published? If not, nobody knows if this is out of context or not. If he blamed himself as well, I would understand. But telling kids it wasn't all his fault is not the right message.

A-Rod accepted blame but also tried to deflect some to his cousin, and he was ripped apart for it. The same should apply to Vick. Vick was not a victim here. He participated in this and bankrolled it for YEARS.

Can I get a Hallelujah?!

This country is a very forgiving country. Ask for forgiveness, admit fault and take full responsibility of your wrongdoing and the majority will give you a second chance.

Blaming someone else and deflecting guilt after you were already convicted of heinous wrongdoing is a step in the wrong direction. This tells me he hasn't learned his lesson or is too immature or stupid to fully understand. If I were a team owner and heard his recent comments, I sure as hell wouldn't give him a second chance. He doesn't deserve it.

Apparently, this post was not seen? The OWNER of the team Vick PLAYED FOR said the exact same thing. IF unacceptbale why?

Let's not play semantics here.

Blank said PART of Vick's problem was the company he kept. I think we can all agree on this. But part of the problem was also Michael Vick. Vick needs to say that and not point fingers at his friends.

Wait a minute...WHO is playing semantics...as Stevo said...how do we know the quick little blurb was not taken out co context of him also saying he was also at fault....do YOU know this? Do I ? NO....I would say let's not assume that is ALL he said....

...I mean it's not like the media has NEVER taken comments comments of context when it comes to a polarized figure. Right now, and with reason, he is one of...if not the most vilified person in America.

Which is why I already said this:

You must have missed it. Finally we are in agreement.

What does Arthur Blank have to do with anything?

The issue here is Vick. He is his own person. He speaks for himself. He blamed his past on others. That is what pisses me off.

Yes...I would say we are. But if you do agree with your statement above...why the last post is you think there a possibility of taken out of context? I understand your dislike form you previous post about him because you are an animal lover....but he JUST got out and this is the 1st time he is doing ANYTHING in regards to redeeming his image....you cannot expect perfection.

Arthur Blank...his FORMER EMPLOYER and more than likely, the closest person to him, MADE that statement because after the team and the NFL did their own investigation, this is what came to light.

...It has ALOT to do with what happened and one of the reasons he was doing what he was doing....running a dog fighting enterprise and killing dogs.

Look at it this way, if YOU did something wrong...if there was anyone who would know WHY you did what you did....it would be the ones closest to you. THAT was Arthur Blank to Vick.

What is he a puppet? Vick has his own free will. He can chose to do right or chose to do wrong. He chose wrong. VERY wrong. Yet he's too big of a P***Y to man up and admit it!

Multiple Choice Test for you, since you seem to be the neighborhood Vick apologist...

1. The house where Vick mutilated and killed dogs after he illegally fought them for kicks was owned by Vick, YES or NO?

2. Vick funded this operation, YES or NO?

3. Vick was found guilty, YES or NO?

People have choices in life. Maybe fighting dogs and gambling on it wasn't his original idea. However, he is his own person. Vick himself made the choice to go along with it and to allow it. Hell, he even killed dogs himself! Who's fault is that?!

The answer.... it's Vick's fault and no one else's. Blaming others makes him look like he needs more time in prison to think about it, because he's a LONG way from rehabilitation if you ask me.

Like anyone else...Clemens, A-Rod, Pitino, etc...we are only asking them to own up to their mistakes. That's all. Pointing fingers at his friends...IF that's what he said and it wasn't taken out of context...is not owning up to his mistake.

Yes I am an animal lover, but I also understand the populace as a whole can be forgiving. That doesn't mean I have to forgive him, I reserve the right to hate him as much as I want. But if he wants people as a whole to really get past this so he can get on with his life, he has to say what he did was HIS fault...not his friends.

Funny how Blank was the closest person to Vick, but had no idea Vick was doing this to dogs for YEARS. Sounds like Blank wasn't really very close to him.

I do not tell my best friend everything....I think alot of people do not tell those closet to them every single aspect of their lives. Do you?

I agree with that. But if that's the case, this statement you made has no meaning:
