I went to watch the game and was getting 771 no signal. Went into setup and checked 103b (both tuners) 0's across the board. Started at the dish checked ALL connections all the way to the back of the box, all snug and good. Red button reset, still 0's. Now mind you EVERYTHING else is working fine.

Getting frustrated I gave customer service a call thinking I may need a realignment. The young lady that answered the phone of course had me go through everything I had already done, no biggie, still 0's. She then had me swap the input cables on the back 1>2 & 2>1 and reset the receiver. I was a bit skeptical and told her as such. If I was a betting man I would be broke right now. Receiver came back on BOOM!! average of 80's across 103b on tuner 1 and 2. Anyone have any idea why this worked? I posted this just in case someone encounters the same problem at some point and wants to break something like I wanted too :)

Thanks for reading

Watching the game on 212. I have to say this is the best HD sports I have seen on Directv!

ARRRGGGGGGG!!!!!! Fine for about 10 minutes now its back to 0's across the board. Anybody have any ideas? Clearly not a dish alignment issue. Maybe bad B-band converters?

Swapped the cables and b-band boxes again and it working again. It has to be the converter boxes or my HR20-100s.

Anybody??? please :)

well the NFL Network SD is on the 101, do you have that channel ?
The HD version would be on the 103 (b) as you mentioned.
You are missing more than the NFL Network if your signals are at zero.
I have never been impressed with the BBC's and have ended up replacing some from time to time, so it very well could be these wonderful items that are the culprit.

Everything but the HD channels that need the BBC's work. No StarzHD no MaxHD, no NFLHD. It has to be those stupid things. Grrrr.....

I have 2 new BBC's on their way. Am I correct that rec's is short for receiver? It's an HR20-100s according to the sticker by the reset button.

Yes, I was being lazy at the time and didn't type it out.

If your worried about the rec. running hot, go into the System Info and see what your internal temp is. anywhere from 116* to 127 is normal.
I think the -100's run a bit cooler than the -700's, so your numbers may be better yet.
I have not heard of a -100 running hot...yet

I had the same problem watching live NFL (Packers/Cowboys) game last night on my HR20-100. Then it seemed to carry over into viewing a recorded episode of House. I did a reset but looking at the linked threads it looks like more will be needed. Hope not. This is the first glitch since the install 2 months ago.

HR20-700 Problems

Can you add external HD with HR20-700?
