Who do the Lions have to have win next week ?

Bears play the Packers.

So the two teams cannot both lose out to help the Lions.

The Lions need EITHER the Packers or Bears to lose today (or both), otherwise they will be eliminated.

True. Assuming the Lions win both remaining games, If both the Packers and Bears win this week then the Packers will be 1/2 game ahead of the Lions, and the Bears one full game ahead of them. Therefore, if the Packers bear the Bears they will finish one-half game ahead of Detroit, and if the Bears win they will finish one-game ahead of the Lions. Even if they were to tie the Lions still lose.

The Bears and/or Packers HAVE to lose this afternoon or the Lions are toast.

Also, a Redskins win over the Cowboys today would help the Lions immensely. Why? Because if the Cowboys win, then tonight's Bears-Eagles game would be meaningless to Philly.

Presuming the Lions win out .... they should, IF they don't, they don't deserve to even think about it.

There is a good possibility that both the Bears and Pack lose today.

Bears and Philly, and Pack and Steelers.

Steelers need to win out to even make .500, sad after the expectations they have year in and year out.
Others have said the Steelers should tank it, for a better draft pick, I don't live that way, If I'm playing, I'm playing to WIN regardless.

Cowboys win.....that makes tonight's Bears-Eagles game meaningless for Philly. Next Sunday's Eagles-Cowboys game is for the NFC East title.

Panthers beat the Saints and clinch a playoff berth
Watched this one Over The Air...It was a very good game if you like defense.!..Panthers D won this game and there O has to show up come playoff time or else it will be a quick exit for the Panthers!..A win next week over the Falcons will determine a bye in the first round by winning the division.

Cam is hurt,Steve Smith is hurt....Is good to see the Panthers D looking very strong but they are hurting on offense...A bye would help but that cold dreary place in the upper NW poses a problem for any team in the NFC!

My team is up 17-0 at the half, but yet I'm really thinking about putting on something more scintillating...like C-SPAN. Seriously folks, NFL officials are making this once great game UN-BLEEPIN-BEARABLE!! I can't take much more.
