He was arrested. The mug shot is all over the place.

Not gonna jump just yet. So far, it is what is being reported. I do not remember him getting arrested or anything like that....so we shall see. IF the Dolphins cut him now, then there is more than likely more to the story than domestic dispute. IF they don't, then the story is being over sensationalized and the Dolphin brass has the real facts.
Would the Dolphin's owners really know what to do WITH the real facts ?

Is it interesting that Chad was kind of a darling in the NFL a few years back, wasnt he? Everybody liked him, liked his endzone celebrations etc. and now look at him. Dont be surprised if you see him in the UFL or even the CFL soon.

???

I would think that it was maybe 50/50 at best ...
Personally, I hate the showboat guys, Ochostinko included.

Give me a quality recvr that acts like he's been there before.

The CFL has taste. There are only 8 teams in the CFL,it's not as big as the MLB minor league system. Also,I could probably name on one finger any NFL "superstar" who followed up his success with an equally successful CFL career afterwards, well okay,NO FINGERS.

I was pointing out that usually these journey men NFL guys go to another league. Didnt Terrell Owens go to some Indoor football league or something?? Didnt work out for him but he still went.

Thats true Jimbo. Your right about quality receivers that have been there. Look at Victor Cruz and Mario Manningham. They helped the Giants tremendously during there Super Bowl run. Yes, Cruz dances but hes no where the distraction that Chad Jonhson is.

There are some no-name journeymen who do excel for a while in the CFL,but then you have Rickey Williams,as an example, who bombed playing for the Argos, before he came back to the Dolphins. You have Andy Fantuz who was a CFL superstar playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, but he failed trying out for the Chicago Bears last season(I actually blame the NFL lockout for that) & was cut by them. Somebody will sign Chad Johnson. I'd take him over Terrell Owens.

yeah i was glad when i heard this. our new head coach doesn't tolerate any sh**. something i haven't seen here in quite a long time. at the same time i'm disappointed that chad couldn't behave himself like an adult. he was having a really good training camp and was hoping he could help out our WR group. may have blown his last chance. after his experiences the last few years you would think the guy would've grown up a little....... :/

I hate his damn guts, but respect the sh!7 out of him. Beli-jerk is a freaking genious!!

"I think Mike Pereira has made his comments on the officials," Belichick said when asked about the refs. "I don't know who knows more about NFL officiating than Mike Pereira, so we'll leave it to him. I'm just trying to coach our team and get our team better. I'm not worried about what everybody else is doing; it's not my job."

This is a decidedly Belichickian comment. Not only does he not say anything, but the Pats coach also purposely alerts the media that he's not speaking on a subject ... all while actually making a stinging comment on the replacement referee situation.

Pereira, who now works for FOX Sports as an analyst, has been particularly critical of the replacement referees. And as a former official and then head of officials, he does know as much, if not more, than anyone when it comes to officiating in the NFL.

Bill Belichick sneaks in not-so-subtle shot at replacement refs despite NFL's request - CBSSports.com

That genious is kissing the Refs a** before they comeback to work!!! He is planting seeds to get favorable calls before the season starts....without saying ANYTHING.

Damn I hate that SOB!!;)

The story I read, said it was a he said, she said deal, and that SHE is the one that head-butted him.................because she found a receipt for condoms in his car.

yeah the story is all over the place. bottom line is the guy isn't worth the trouble and i'm glad he's gone. that's not the type of attention i would like if i were in the fins organization.

finally watched hard knocks yesterday and from what little i saw of that woman, she's as bad as he is. good riddance to both......... :)

I am gonna disagree here Rey. I have a couple of theories: (1) You have a few players that were arrested and still on the roster. One, Nawa Misi was arrested this past March for battery. Tony McDaniel is currently on the roster and was also arrested for domestic violence and plead no contest.

IMHO, Philbin did not like him and did not think he was a good football player anymore....and just cut him.

My 2nd theory, this was a HUGE setup by Chad and his wife. They are reality tv "veterans" and they have a reality TV show coming up...you add "Hard Knocks" and you have free advertising reality TV gold!

each case is different so i'm not going there. either way don't care ;) he's gone......

i actually liked hard knocks ( never thought i'd be saying that  ) and i can tell you with all sincerity that it wasn't because of him at all. for me anyway. :)
