Looking forward to a good preseason doubleheader today/tonight:

49ers at Broncos- 4:00pm ET on FOX: it will be interesting to see Peyton continue his comeback (for the first half anyway) against one of the best defenses in the league

Panthers at Jets- 8:00pm ET on NBC: Newton-Tebow showdown

All this Tropical Storm Isaac coverage has killed any local regular TV...but I still have my OTA antenna and I was able to find the game between the '9ers and Denver.

The Denver looks really good, both defensively and offensively.

Following last year's pair of Broncos-Patriots ratings blockbusters, A new look of the Brady/Manning rivalry is quite a follow-up to the Brady v. Tebow ratings success.

There is a difference...not everything is black and white as some may presume.

Now I have no idea what you are trying to say.

If you are paid to prepare and play professional football and you are lazy than in my world, you're a douche.

Your 'world'... colorful as usual..but your opinion none the less. To each his own.

Sunday, Oct. 7th at 4:25pm ET on CBS. :D

How that matchup was not snatched up for primetime I'll never know. I'm not complaining mind you, the late afternoon "window" is my favorite time for the Pats to play.

Tavaris Jackson?? Wow, hes not exactly Jay Cutler or Eli Manning. I'll tell you something. The Bears/Giants game the other night was a good game considering it was preseason.

Btw, on an unrelated note, Salsa, are you ok down there in Florida? Be careful and stay safe.

Thanks Mets! It has been crazy. From 6am till around 2pm...we had sustained winds in the 40s with some gusts in the upper 50s. It was a lot easier than Hurricane Wilma...which hit us as a category 3 with winds in the 120s...

But back to football, the addition of Jackson basically ends Vince Young's career as a Bill.

Unless Vince is gone already. ;-)

I'm just glad the Lions made it out-of-town with no major injuries...they were dropping like flies. And I'm really glad that Stafford's X-rays of his non-throwing hand came back negative.

What about Houston ?
Wasn't his a knee ?
I haven't heard anything GOOD in his situation.
Bentley went out with a shoulder issue, is that not a problem ?

Not disputing you, just haven't heard any updates.
