Fell asleep during the 4pm games and so did the Lions and Bills, it seems.
A true seeding system would be better imo.Winning a division is great but,if a team wins a division with say 7-9 record they shouldn't get home field advantage. It would also help a few games having second stringers in towards the end of the season. Many times a team wraps up a division title knowing that home field is a lock, with a seeding system that wouldn't be the case.
I didnt really like the fact that the Seahawks hosted a playoff game with a losing record but won there division so they should get rewarded because then what's the sense of winning the division? Do you think losing records winning a division has anything to do with the realaignment? Just seems like some of the divisions are sub-par or maybe its me?
They should leave things as is and no team that has a losing record should make the playoffs or host a playoff game even if they win their division
How would you do that then? If they were 7-9 and somehow clinched a wildcard berth how would they not give it to them? I can see your point about winning the division and hosting a playoff game though.
Every early game save for JAX/MIA has some semblance of playoff relevance.
Actually, technically Miami is still "in the hunt" for the playoffs or at least they were when the day began. The NFL RedZone that I have w) Scott Hansen didnt really show any of this game. Wonder why? LOL
Redskins look good to make the playoffs. if they win the last two (versus Philadelphia 4-10 and Dallas 7-6), they win their division. If they lose to Dallas in their final game, they still make the playoffs if Minnesota loses to 12-2 Houston, who sees the game as a must win for them to hold home field against the Patriots, or lose to 10-4 Green Bay, or if the Giants lose to either the Ravens or Philadelphia, which is a lot less likely. And if the Redskins lose to Philadelphia but beat Dallas, I think they still make it on tie breakers
Washington was vilified for taking a second quarterback, Cousins, in the draft, but he won the game for them today.
Very disappointed with the Giants today. They looked lifeless. They have a problem playing in domes. Reminded me of when they played the Saints and lost bad. Giants now have to play there ass off now. Only thing that helps is that the Ravens looked awful today but with the Giants you never know.
IMO, a team to watch from here on out.
I believe I quoted you talking about the Seahawks. I agree. Everybody is talking about RGIII but Russell Wilson is having a great year. They are dangerous, especially at home. I also think Denver is very dangerous on the AFC side.
Hang in there buddy, it will get better.
One thing though: they need to stop playing "home" games away from Orchard Park. This isn't MLB, NHL or NBA where you have 40 or 80 home games. There's only eight, and you just can't afford to throw away even one of those games.
Can you imagine the Seahawks, Packers, Broncos or Patriots playing a home game away from their rabid fans, and giving away that HUGE advantage? No, me neither.
Sorry for the Bills losing. Didnt pick them but I've given up on them. They showed promise and yet there lousy defense makes them lose. 48 PTS. to the Jets, 52 pts. to the Pats and 47 pts. to the Seahawks. I heard and I believe I heard this right from Jason LaCorforna, the guy thats on CBS, or maybe it wasnt him. Well, it was somebody and they mentioned that maybe Micheal Vick might go to the Bills. Has anybody heard of that rumor?
Bill, you mention about having the Broncos, Seahawks, Packers etc playing a home game away from home. If Goodell keeps these London, England games going, it might happen.
