NFL 2009-10 Season

Yeah, that was half of it, but no pressure to score a TD was a bigger deal. If they knew they'd have to defend Tennessee afterwards it would have been better (and more fair).

As-is a team has to just move the ball 0-50 yards depending on the runback and they win most of the time without the other team touching the ball.

One thing I saw on another forum was interesting, removing FGs from OT would be a good start.

Thank god I didn't start the Titan defense- gave up 363 yards through the air. Next week, they play the Texans- if Roethlisberger can go airborne like he did tonight, what is Matt Schaub going to do next week?

Those lousy Yinzers are THE luckiest team in the NFL by far! No way they should've won that game or even last year's Super Bowl for that matter. ;)

If I were a Titan fan, I'd be cursing Rob Bironas. What a lousy game he had! Titans so should've won last night if it wasn't for that idiot kicker.

Interesting proposal. I kinda like it. :up

Madden Curse Strikes Again....

How many instantly thought about the Madden Curse when Polamalu left with an injury?? This curse is so well evidenced it's a wonder why players even agree to being on the cover. If I were Larry Fitgerald, I'd be very scarred. He may be next....

Another reason why the pro's really need to adopt the college system of OT rules. It's a shame the game was won on a coin toss.
M&M had a good idea this morning: First team to six points.

Unlike the NCAA system it's still "real" football with punts, turnovers, field position, etc.

If team A kicks a FG they kickoff to team B and they get a shot.
If team A marches right downfield and scores a TD, they most likely deserve to win...

I like it too! Sure beats the current system. :up

i like this idea a lot too. You should submit it to the NFL. :up :)

Nope, bad idea....

Someone came up with a better idea that is bouncing around today.
make it so you HAVE to score a TD.
Golic originally said 6 points, which is also an idea.
If you need to kick field goals, you would need TWO to win.
Thus the other team would get the ball ... then again, if you drove down the field on the first possession and scored a TD people would STILL complain about not getting the ball ....

IF teams had to score a TD to win, they COULD play all week, some can't score 7 points in the first 4 quarters.

Sorry Cosmo,
I didn't read the whole thread and pretty much posted what you already did.
