NFL 2009-10 Season

So it looks like Jamarcus has lost the game for the Raiders, eliminating the Steelers.

If Denver doesn't score on this drive they will then also likely be eliminated.

This leaves just the Jets, win and they are in... and Texans if the Jets lose they take their spot.

Sound about right Bill?

Exactly! :up

Ravens miss 51 yd FG with a little more than 3 minutes left.

If your the Ravens, why would try to kick a long FG with an 8 point lead???

Why wouldn't you try to pin Russell back and trust your defense?

Now Russell has a short field.

I guess I just saw WHY

So the NFC is now set:

(5) Green Bay at (4) Arizona- Sat (most likely at 4:30 ET)

(6) Philadelphia at (3) Dallas- Sun at 1:00 ET

AFC Wildcard Games...............

Baltimore at New England is a done deal, but it's TBD whether it's the 3 vs. 6 or 4 vs. 5 matchup.

Cincinnati will host either the Jets (#5 seed) or Houston (#6 seed).

It's interesting how the NFL was good enough to guess the correct playoff teams before the season started ...........

Somehow, MOST of the playoff teams are playing thier opponent next week today ....

Coincidence ??????

I hope so .....

How so? I love how these conspiracy theories pop up.

0:00 on the clock. Denver officially eliminated from the playoffs. After starting the season 6-0, the lowly Chiefs have put up a better record since that point in the season than the once hopeful Denver Broncos.

If the Broncos and Steelers didn't slum their way through the middle of the season the AFC playoffs would have been set weeks ago. Unlike the playoffs, all conspiracy theories would need to go through Denver and Pittsburgh for this all to somehow be engineered.

How stupid are the league blackout rules? We got blacked out of the late games on CBS in Dallas because nothing can go up against the almighty Cowboys. Yet in their infinte wisdom CBS still schedules 60 Minutes to start right at 6:00 CT so the blackout gets lifted at the top of the hour and we get some bonus football.

HUH?????

!protest Rant on:

Okay first off, my team (the Patriots) went 11-5 with their backup QB last season and MISSED the playoffs.

Many Pats fans (I'll be the first to admit that there are MANY insufferable Pats fans) bitched and moaned that the Jets "laid down like dogs" against the Dolphins in week 17, keeping the Pats out of the playoffs.

But guess what? The Pats had no one to blame but themselves, losing to both the Dolphins and Jets in Foxboro. The fact of the matter is, the Pats DIDN'T DO ENOUGH TO QUALIFY FOR THE PLAYOFFS IN 2008!!! It sucks, but it happens, move on!!!

Now today, the Pats with nothing to play for other than a possible #3 seed, lose their MVP for the year and play their All-Pro QB with three broken ribs!

So sorry, I don't want to hear the woe is me from teams that are stinkin' 9-7 and miss the playoffs........not after my team went 11-5 and missed the playoffs last year!

End of rant.................:D

Welker was not the only impact player that got hurt today.

Anquan Boldin and Charles Woodson were also hurt today.

All those people that were criticizing the Colts for what they did last week- I'll be interested to see what they had to say now in light of these developments.

When I heard about Welker's injury, I understood why the Colts did what they did last week.

NCAA proposes tough taunting, concussion rules
