NFL 2009-10 Season

Where is everyone?

Enjoying the beautiful weather.

Is this what life is like without football?! How glorious! It's absolutely gorgeous out here! (on Sunday). 72°F and sunny! A perfect Indian Summer! Oh how pleasant it is to not be cooped up inside, depressed and watching the Browns suffer another defeat. The best thing the Browns did to this city was pick THIS weekend to go on a bye. What a beautiful day!

Packers are going to lose to previously-winless Tampa Bay.

After what happened last week in Favre Bowl II, it goes from bad to worse.

I think it might be time to say it- Green Bay is overrated.

And I picked Green Bay in the Eliminator Pool this week!

Who would've thought a winless team, led by a rookie QB making his first start would be able to beat anyone, much less the Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay Packers!

John Fox has never lost to the Saints on the road.

Sometimes, a team has a mastery over another (i.e. the Lions never winning in Washington)

I heard this stat on Sirius NFL this past week. Mark this down as one of those anomalies in pro sports. Somehow the Saints still got the win, but my how close it was for a while!

This has got to be one of the biggest surprises of the season. I NEVER would've thought at the beginning of the year the Bengals would be THIS good. Good for you Ramy. :)

Too bad Chris Henry broke his arm in the game. Probably out the rest of the year. He was actually staying out of trouble too.

Browns to Contact Holmgren

One of the first people Cleveland Browns owner Randy Lerner will contact to run his team, if he hasn't contacted him already, is former Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren, according to a team source.

Holmgren is itching to return to football and the opportunity he would have in Cleveland would be an attractive one. Lerner is looking for someone to perform for the Browns the same role that vice president of football operations Bill Parcells performs for the Dolphins. The job, for the time being, is Holmgren's to lose.

Oh my! This makes too much sense! Almost seems too good to be true. Stay tuned....

The Packers suck!! Who loses to a 0-7 team with a rookie QB???

What GM looks like an idiot for choosing Rodgers over Favre now????

The cheeseheads must be outraged!!

(This game kicked me out of my money pool this week, the bastards!!)

Michael Who???

He should change his name to Michael Dungy, Dungy is the only reason he hasn't totally faded away...

Aaron Rodgers is the LEAST of the Packers concern. Actually, so far, both QB's have nearly identical statistics (through 8 games)...

AR: 2,255 yards, 16 TDs, 5 INTS, 103.3 QB rating

BF: 1,925 yards, 16 TDs, 3 INTS, 106 QB rating

The bottom line is this: The Vikings are the better TEAM.

Chiefs Release Larry Johnson!

The fans protesting LJ becoming the leading rusher in Chiefs history will have to be happy about this one. He was 75 yards from breaking Priest Holmes' franchise record (6,070) for career rushing yards....

Rodgers is probably a better quarterback than anyone in our division (AFC West), what you saw this Sunday is what happens when he forces throws instead of eating so many sacks though. The team needs some help, but it's not at QB, but management was right to move on from Brett when they did.

Next week's MNF should be good for the comedy if nothing else. You've got argubaly the worst team in the league facing the team that jilted the city of Cleveland. For once I may appreciate ESPN's incessant hyping of the MNF games if they spend all night talking about why the Browns suck. Even 3 hours may not be enough to cover it all. :D
