Nexstar Info

Won't that be streaming via ESPN?

No, mainly because the Open Championship, AKA the British Open (which is not in Britain this year) is on NBC/Golf Channel. The only golf ESPN has are the first two rounds of The Masters, although they will replace TNT for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship in that tournament's next contract.

However a question. DirecTV has four feeds of this, and most other golf tournaments, including a "network simulcast" on Ch. 702, which does not map out to your local station but to a generic feed with DirecTV promos replacing the local commercial slots. Is this channel affected by Nexstar's greed? And how about the other 3 channels, which are "featured group", "featured hole" and "international view" (which is the BBC coverage} ?

Oh ya, I forgot that ESPN/ABC gave up the rights to the British.

Ooh, good question. I bet 95% yes you will be able to watch the 702 feed. Probably 99%.

I've noticed sometimes on the sports mix channel you can watch channels on it that you normally don't get if tuned directly to that channel...

Is there a compatible OTA receiver for the HR24? I'd really like integrated DVR ability of the OTA, plus that would add me a 3rd tuner right?

If you connect a AM21 to the HR24 you do get 2 OTA tuners, but you can only use 2 tuners at a time (from a HR24) regardless of their source (OTA or Satellite). This means you can use 2 OTA tuners at time, or 2 Satellite Channels at a time, or 1 OTA and 1 Satellite channel.

When I had Dish Network years ago I had a 721 DVR Receiver with a OTA Tuner cartridge, that was great as it added 2 OTA Tuners, so I could use BOTH Satellite Tuners and 2 OTA Tuners at the same time.

Fox u can stream via fox sports app using your DirecTV log in ..

I think cbs makes u pay for "all access " ...

And u mentioned football is your fav team local or out of market ??

Dish is not the best answer either because if u like other sports (nba ,mlb , nhl ) depending on your market, dish has dropped fox sports net

Yes, you would need CBS AA ....

As for Football ...mentioned games tomorrow (thats today now), no games are on CBS today, but soon.

I'm wondering, does CBS AA cover games ?

I really think DTV is going to wait out Nexstar until they cave. Both sides are hoping the other will fold during the start of football college/pro.
