CBS AA allows live streaming of your local channel, including all programming as far as I know. That said, the PQ wasn't particularly good when I checked it out.
As for Dish Network being the answer, who's to say that they will need to negotiate sometime in the future.
Exact dish is notoriously worse with. Channel negotiations
They just dropped FSN nationwide they still dont have HBO or MAX

The Montreal towers are 62 miles from me and, with a little effort, some can be received here OTA. I lived about 50 miles from the main towers from Raleigh in NC and they were perfect. 40 miles is nothing. I am 19 miles from my true locals and they register high in the AM21 signal meter, however good that is. 80s and low 90s%, except 1 PBS that is behind a hill is 55% and 33 miles away.
Disclaimer: 40 miles is nothing, assuming you don't live in a market that uses mostly low-power affiliates. LP's could be a problem at 40 miles.
Exactly. Switching to a different provider wether that is cable, Dish or Directv is not the solution. Especially if it’s a local channel you can get OTA
You can always watch via LoCast. Just fake your location with FireFox if you're not in a served market...
No, you are underestimating the scale of the problem. I am 40 miles from the transmitters, no low power affiliates, I have a very large antenna and struggle with my main VHF station - and north dallas is pretty flat.
Or add a attenuator. My Samsung TV will tell me the -db of the signal.
That'd be WFAA 8 on VHF 8 correct? What type of large antenna are you using? If it's "new" it could be a UHF only antenna.
I've been using a old huge antenna from the analog days that supports VHF-LO, VHF-HI, and UHF and have never had a problem getting WFAA 8 as close to the towers as Cleburne and as far from the towers as Mineral Wells.
That's the antenna I had before Hurricane Michael, (with a rotatory) And I had not thought about there not being a Tree from here to Panama City. lol I may get a signal, They finally got me a new fence In today now If I could get Gutters so I can brace over the gutters for 30 ft pole for the antenna. I could go on vacation and watch TV in a motel...

Does this dispute affect the Sunday Ticket package at all ?
I understand, if your in a dispute area, you still won't see the games that would be on your CBS, thats understandable ...
However, say the Bears for example (I don't know the list of cities involved, but we'll say Chicago is one), game is scheduled for CBS, outside of the Chicago area, it should be on the ST regardless of dispute status. right ?

I have a CM4228 which has pretty good VHF reception.Once you get north of Plano if you are in any sort of dip it gets very iffy. Look at antennaweb ifyou don't believe me.
And many people in this area just buy a UHF antenna and get nothing on VHF.
