I have worked with a turbo hd dish it was to small but it did work in a pinch when I flipped it upside down. You will get it I know you will I was a newbie also so just take your time.

Looks fine to me - I don't think those trees are any problem for 97W.
Did you try a blind scan when the dish is just a little bit west off 95W, rather than rely on locking on a transponder that's already memorized? That would eliminate any potential LO frequency errors etc - It would just display the wrong frequencies

Can you give us details on your LNBF and also a picture of the LNB type that is set in your receiver (the part where it shows the details)

It’s not my LNB, it worked before on G19 and on 95w. Anyway, went out to align but no G19. I got 48%Q on G16. I don’t know what’s the problem but it’s really frustrating me. 73% on 95w 48% on 99w. I just don’t know. More pics tomorrow

This hobby can be frustrating at times. Hang in there and you will figure it out.

Yes, as long as you have checked the setting under LNB Type and set it to match the LNB you are using and it's LO frequency. :)

Alexander, what is your LO when you click on LNB TYPE?
Should be 10750.

Try adding a 97w transponder to the 95w transponder list. Locate 95w again then select the new TP and slightly pan West.

If the 97w transponder is located and locks, perform a Factory Reset on the STB and then try a Blind Scan.

I mention this, because I have had STBs with messed up logic and would not lock any preprogrammed transponders only on a single satellite. A Factory Reset or deleting all transponders typically will take care of the problem, but have had to load new firmware a few times.

Good luck!

48% on 99W seems low, especially since you're getting 73% on 95W. I would expect them to be a bit similar (assuming that was on the transponder that has the Jewish channel and the Russian radio stations). So may there are some obstructions after all

Ok, I finally got a lock on 97w with 60%Q. Thanks everyone!!!

Next time try these transponders for 97. These are quite a bit stronger than 12152 on my 75 E dish.

12146 V 22000
11960 V 22000
11966 H 22000

Yes - 12152 is a great one to find 97 with. Agrees. But if you want to know if your dish is aligned the best then you will want to aim until you get 11842 and believe me it's the hardest to get in and a real pain at some time.

I get average of 55% to 58% with 11842 and 12053 I get 65% to 68% on average.

FYI... On 90cm and smaller dishes, 11842 requires a slight pan to the West to optimize SQ as there is adjacent satellite interference on this TP from 95w. If a dish is optimized for 11842, other TPs Signal Quality will drop and visa versa.

1.2m and larger dishes reject the interference.

I’ll go out to try to get better Q. My lowest Q is on TP 12152 and I only get 39-46%
