New to C band will this set up work?

Would this work will, GeoSat CK1 C/KU Band LNBF 10' unimesh, G box fortec star ultra, I don't have a stb to move the dish, but the dish does have a working motor. With the g box cold i run the whole thig for the fortec star ultra?

Sounds like you've been doing your homework. -

I'll assume the Ultra will run the motor controller (Gbox) just fine; don't know why it wouldn't.
But, I don't have one, and haven't read anything about them.

One thing you may have a litttle trouble with, is getting the LNBF centered for good Ku reception.
That's only a minor consideration.
Set it up on C-band first, then be prepared for some serious tweaking to get the Ku to track.
. . . or if you're experienced, maybe set up the Ku first? And let C-band fall in by itself?

So, do you have all these pieces right now?

I believe you will need a switch, DiSEqC or 22KHz, to go from C to Ku.

Could I use this C band lnb (see post ) or this one with the scaler ring from the old lnb.

The original Feedhorn need a receiver that can control the Servo Motor (blue box) for polarity. I don't think the Ultra can do it.

The B1 is a "Stacked" setup, usable - yes, but for your first set up I'd go with either the C2 or CK1
C2 does not have Ku, where the CK1 does.
