New "Sticky" Request

About every 16 days we get a new thread in the D* (or sometimes the other public) forums about the unending question of how to hook up an HR2x to a wireless network, and every time many of the same people respond with many of the same answers. Since it's a common question, especially amongst new members, how about we make this a sticky thread for easy reference and reduce the redundancy of information?

True, but clearly many people are not using it, so lets just merge all this information into one sticky thread for easy reference and additions.

Many of what you've posted vary from sub to sub according to the type of system you have/ need, not all get the same deals.

I agree that a big FAQ thread would be great, it's just a matter of getting time to do it. I did something like that for the CE program that took me an afternoon, unfortunately the direcTV general type would take much longer.

The hard part is to post a general FAQ like that, it has to be written really well, and then maintained, so I can't just do an open thread or anything like that.

Hopefully we can come up with something like that sometime in the future.

One more VERY important sticky that is asked at least once a WEEK - do you HAVE to have a phone line connected!
