New Software Updates Discussion Thread

  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

L439 new feature

My 211 just received the L439 software update.

A new feature that it now has is when you hit "info" the 2nd time, in the top left of the info screen there is a satellite and it shows you what sat you are currently watching.(110,129,etc.)

I didnt notice any other new things, but someone else can chime in.

Dumb question, but my 622 still has the L449 firmware, didn't they do a release to all 622s yesterday for the L510/L511? Is there anyway to force my receiver to download the new firmware? When does it update if not?

My 211 is still sitting at L437.

Never went to L438 or L439.

Updates are set to Enable, 3:00 AM.
I've even tried to force an update with check switch and reboot.

Just noticed in Diagnostics under Counters, if you scroll down to line 28) it reads Status scheduled: 06/16/08 6:12pm NT NA.

Any idea what this means?

I'm pretty sure that my serial numbers are in the range posted by RandallA

That's why I don't have the phone line connected.

Why so paranoid? I hope they monitor what I watch in the hopes that they will do what they can to ensure they continue to provide programming which I will enjoy. Nothing like watching a show and getting really in to it only to have it cancelled (Jericho, Invasion, Threshold, etc)
