Here is a new LNB being shown at the Revolution Show...

Its a Reverse Band Legacy, which allows for you to add a dish for the internationals at 95 degrees.

So it would require 2 dishes to get the 4k and internationals .... not just this newest LNB using the dish that goes with it to get it all ?
 
I bet the 2 on the right are inputs.
Nah, they're undoubtedly outputs ...

The frequency plan for the two new LNB outputs is as I posted awhile ago on another thread. Based on a transponder survey readout from an AIM meter with the latest database update which included the Reverse Band.

The tan colored cells at the bottom of the graphic ("ports 5 and 6") represent the spectrum of the two new coax outputs.

95W will have to be diplexed in on the new 18v line one as shown.

I would think a swm8/16 switch, no?
 
Don't think the old analog SWiM switches can handle Reverse Band ...

DIRECTV showed off a digital DSWM-30 ext. multiswitch at a recent Revolution conference I think last year.

So that might be it. ...

Of course the SWM8/SWM16 can handle reverse band. It leaves the LNB at the exact same frequency range as Ka A & B bands, and the internal multiswitch is connected to all six inputs.

Oh, great then;

As it sure would help matters with the seemlessness of installing this LNB if the current installed base of legacy analog SWiM multiswitches could be used by just re-tasking the two flexports.

Though running now six or two more coax lines in addition to an already existing four (or three coax pairs in all) would be a cumbersome and unsightly mess, I see this LNB mainly for MDU single dish solutions.

Now DIRECTV just needs something like this on steroids for the AK-HI dish and they'll be all set I guess. ...

Yep it looks like that DSWIM30 will be a part of international integration and 4k reverse band setups. Legacy reverse band LNB w/ DSWIM30 switch and a world direct diplexer. The diplexer will run into port 5 of the switch with both the RB and world direct dish connecting to the diplexer. Super happy to finally see a solution.

Humm ...

Guess I need to correct that graphic a bit, as I assumed earlier at the time that the new outlet for the odd RB transponders would naturally use 13v as a continuation of the old 2-level 18v/13v legacy voltage signaling.

But now I see both even and odd RB tps. ports on the DSWM-30 multiswitch are labeled as "18v."
