Hey everyone. I have watched this forum for years but never posted. I am finally moving to Directv from Comcast. I have ordered the Genie for my Livingroom and a client for the master bedroom. When the original owners built this house they has RG59 cable ran rather that RG6. All three runs, both bedrooms and Livingroom run to the outside courtyard. The house has no attic and is on a slab. The Livingroom outlet is an interior wall and the master bedroom is the opposite side of the house exterior wall.

My question how deep into the install will Directv go? Will they run all new RG6 or will they just tie into the RG59? Also I am keeping my cable Internet through Comcast. I know they can not tie into this line. I can setup the cable modem into the third bedroom RG59 outlet but how will they tie back into this for the directv Internet on demand client etc? Thanks for your help. My install is on November 17 two days after my new TVs arrive.

Like Liquidforce88 mentioned, they will run new RG6 for you. Depending upon the type of setup you are getting, some of the RG59 may be reusable.
