New Guy Help!

Recently purchased an RCA DTC210 HD receiver as well as a Directv Triple LNB dish. Just wondering about an off-air antenna. Do I need it? If so can someone suggest one? Any and all input would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have, and would recommend the Zenith Silver Sensor. You can get it from Value Electronics, just click on the link at the top of the page.

Before you purchase any antenna you need to figure how far you are from the towers. www.antennaweb.org is a great source to find that out.

Could you recommend one that goes outside? Does the Zenith Silver antenna need to be inside? I'm not sure I want to look at that thing in my den.

Check out the DB4 and DB 2. They come fairly highly rated. I ordered an item from them (extended mounting bracket) and the transaction went very well.
Just remember to go to www.antennaweb.org first to determine what type of OTA antenna you need.
Believe me, once you've seen how good most OTA HD looks, you won't regret the research or effort.

The ChannelMaster 4228 is a great antenna as well and can be found in your local stores. This antenna is UHF, but gets great reception of the high VHF channels. In the Atlanta area, this is one of the best overall antennas you can get for DTV reception. (Our NBC DT channel is 10). Many people have good luck mounting this antenna in the attic if they are within 20 miles or so from the antenna.

I've heard nothing but good news about the CM 4228 as well. I've got one of those ChannelMaster Stealth jobs that look like a steath bomber. (It's just what they had at the hardware store that day... ) Since I'm w/in 15 miles of all of my transmitters it works great, and I split it off to my stereo to get distant FM radio stations.

I went with the Channel Master 3020 but I needed a antenna that would pick-up channels a 100 miles. and its VHF & UHF works great
