so far, im pretty happy with it, no big complaints, no issues that I’ve seen so far, other than what’s been mentioned about the font and color. But it looks nice.

The only problem I’ve had with the new ui is my channel logos have never came back

Suggest you do a search CLEARMYBOX then search all -the receiver will restart and flush all guide and VOD Data and rebuild it - all should come back within 24 to 48 hrs. of course if you are recording a show it will interrupt that but won't interfere with any 2 hours of more upcoming -or do it before you go to bed

I just upgraded from an hr21 to a hr54. I don’t see the new guide. so I need to download it or something?
The national release is still the old guide. 0x0D8F. You either have to wait for DirecTV to push the update to your box or watch for when DirecTV Firmware Watcher shows the new 0x1001 under your receiver. Usually on Fridays and Saturdays between 3-7AM EST is when you can get the new update by forcing it if you know how. My advice is just to wait till it is released to you. The new software has given me a lot of problems but that's just my opinion.

Does anybody get a loud buzzing sound when they change their audio in Dolby Audio settings from off to on? All my boxes make a loud buzzing noise when they are turned on and Dolby Audio is turned on. When I turn it off, it doesn't make the noise. Done resets so that doesn't solve the issue.

Yes, I got a loud buzzing noise when I connected the Genie to an outboard digital audio to analog audio converter that can not process Dolby. It stopped as soon as I remembered to go into the menu and turn Dolby off. The same thing happened when I got my Roku.

Yeah I'm using devices that work with Dolby tho. Does it on all my TVs or sound systems that support it. Not surprised tho
