My C61K shows 0xa35. My HR54 is on 0xff3. I'm guessing my C61K needs to be updated to 0xFB7? How do I get that update on my C61K? Thanks again for all the replies.

What version does you C61K show?

I had 0xFB7 (and still do) on my C61K mini's and had the same issue but my Genie was still running 0xD80 but once I got 0xFF3 on the Genie everything became consistent on the new GUI and I could then run the HDR test. My C61K is also connected to a 2016 LG OLED C6. Also that test will only work on the C61K (just to be sure you are not trying it on the HR54 Genie which is not capable of 4K or HDR) and you must also of course have 4K enabled on it as well.

If yours has the same updates I'm not sure why it would not work. ??

You have to wait until it happens. You can't "pull" a Genie client update.

I'm not disputing your post, I don't have any clients to play with, but if thats the case, then why are each Client listed on the firmware sight ?
You would think if you couldn't update it on its own, it wouldn't show ...
I suppose it shows just so people know what they are on, you'd think that when the Genie updates, the Client would as well if ones available.

None here either. Still no way to force for genie2? I have oxa35 on client and oxd80 on server.

One other thing I have noticed is that the Closed Captioning misses words and even whole sentences at times. Being old and hard of hearing, NOT DEAF, I depend on CC for words I miss or don’t understand. Might not even be the new software but it didn’t do that before.

I can understand your side of it, I am legally blind and it is very hard for me to see some of the new interface text, the old blue with white text is very easy for me to see, I believe the text is smaller on the newer

Sorry, not gonna happen ...
For the most part, the updates have to be pushed to you, every once in awhile you can get it, normally its on a Weekend night and you have to hope that the software happens to be in the data stream that you need.

If you are talking about CC text, you can change the background color and font color and size. I find black with yellow text works very well for me.

That thing is worthless and unreliable a lot of the time. It's not run by anyone official. Check the edgecutter site on Friday nights.

The idea is to check it so you know when its in the stream, I go to the edgecutter sight and have to hope to get into the correct forum to see whats going on.
Much quicker to look at the firmware sight and say Yup, its up ... THEN look to the edgecutter sight and see what people are saying about it. Or do both at the same time.

I don't find it to be worthless at all, unless its like now where its down for some reason.

It appears the firmware tracker may be back online.

On a whim I forced a software update this morning on my HR54 and ended up with 0xffc. So far absolutely no issues.
