New GEOSATpro microHD Receiver

  • Server Issues.

    We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

    Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Any chance of an extra configuration for 2 lnb lows for ku band?
Cband has 5750/5150
Universal 10600/9750

There are a lot of stacked starchoice lnb's in Canada.
10750/10175 would likely work, but I would like to see 10750/***** user config on the second low

Maybe something that could be done on a future software update?

Well, I may go deep into the darknest but we all know we as owner are completely responsibles for. Will be posible to add as an optional choice to have outside NETWORK features in the firmware?? I know people will jump in and tell this is not what we do here but giving just the option will not harm anyone.
 
If I'm not mistaken, it doesn't even have an ethernet port, so unless they have drivers for USB ethernet adapters, it's not going to have any network support no matter what.

5750: 3700 - 4200
9750: 10700 - 11700
10600: 11700 - 12750
10750: 11700 - 12200
11250: 12200 - 12700
Universal: 9750 - 10600: 10700 - 11700 / 22khz ON: 11700 - 12200
Universal: 5150 - 10750: 3400 - 4200 / 22khz ON: 11700 - 12200
Stacked 5150/5750: 3400 - 4200 (scan horizontal polarity only)
Stacked 10750/10100: 11700 - 12200 (scan horizontal polarity only)

If additional LO combinations are needed, provide the LO, switch setting (if applicable) and default scan frequency, stacked, etc.

Custom enterable LO. I use a spectrum analyzer that reads out in L-band and I use a LO of 10000 so that when I do blind scans or add individual transponders, it's the L-band freq of that signal with a "1" in front of it (i.e. a freq in the set top box of 10976 means the l-band is 976 when I have the set top box LO set to 10000).

Basically scan vertical 10750 11700-12200, and then horizontal 10175 11700-12200.

Very popular LNB in Europe. They are very available in the US made by NJR with good stability and phase noise specs. I use a set of these on the Atlantic Ocean Region dish.

We will add add back in. I had recently pulled the 10000 LO from the list.
 
Does anyone know the actual L.O. settings for the Eagle Aspen P870 (the FSS LNB Superdishes use)? That would be a very common stacked L.O. for hobbyists.

The stacked Star Choice LNB does require the 10750/10175 setting, and from what I remember (I haven't used it in a long time) and what I list below, you only scan either H or V (and it doesn't matter which one), or it will duplicate transponders and channels. Here is what I posted a long time ago about it:

My Pansat has a stacked setting of 10750 V/10175 H, this is the correct setting for the LNB.

If you use as a standard LNB with a LO of 10750, then vertical frequencies are correct, and horizontal are 575 higher than actual (and it doesn't matter if you use a V or H, its the frequency that counts).

If you use as a standard LNB with a LO of 10175, the horizontal frequencies are correct, and the vertical are 575 lower than actual (and again, it doesn't matter if they are V or H).
 
I also am a big fan of user defined LO. Unfortunately, that is not an option with this chipset. LO sets must be defined in the firmware.
ok, then please have a 10000 LO (and even a 0 LO if you can). 10000 works for me as I can do my trick of removing the leading "1". A 0 LO means no trick needed as the frequency readout is in lband but very few receivers have the 0 LO option or allow you to enter that as a customized LO frequency without giving you an invalid input error.
 
Will there be a sort option for the scanned channels per sat? like if I want them to be listed per transponder, or from H-V or V-H polarity for those with feedhorns and lnb's? Would be nice just to resort after a scan instead of moving each channel to my H and V manually.
 
How about 5150/10750 LO setting for C/Ku combo LNBF?
Being able to edit the universal LO frequencies would be the same difference I suppose if an option.

This may sound like a silly question, but is anyone keeping score of what is Brain implementing into the MicroHD, in comparison to the Openbox(es), and the Manhattan.

I have tried but cannot keep up with all the requests being asked, and on how many of those requests have been approved for implementation.

Also is there a sort of a glossary or defenitions of most of the FTA termonology being trown around. I for one am not too familiar with some of the termonology in use.
