New Customer offers

I am a current and 8+ year customer of direct tv. I would really like to go to whole home hd - dvr system. As an existing customer, the deal just isn't comparable to a new customer. I called the retention department and they are willing to get me the hd dvr for $99 ($100 off), but then I have to buy the other hd receivers. All in all $450 plus a monthly rate of $90. Current customers can get it all free plus one year monthly rate of $39.99. How can I become a "new" customer again. Yes, I know I got a good deal eight years ago but loyal customers shouldn't be hung out to dry.

It may not work. They may check the address and disqualify you for that reason.

Stop knocking your head against the wall and sign up with the local cable company for a few months. Then sign up as a new customer with DTV after a year or so.
