How can I check my installer said they r brand new being only 3 weeks old from direct tv using them.

Hold info button on remote for about 10 seconds and you'll see System Info & Test. It will say in the middle of screen something like HR 22/100 or whatever you have.

Or look in the Access Card Door, the model is listed there, but very small print.
