NESN HD feed in SD?

Nesn is showing an HD feed in SD. It's definitely SD, but in HD aspect. It happened a couple of weeks ago, also. Any ideas what's up?

By "HD aspect" do you mean they are showing a letter boxed presentation? It happens a lot on movie channels like AMC. Maybe NESN just decided since they already have the 16:9 aspect for their HD broadcast, why crop and zoom it for the SD 4:3 users.

Yes, the picture is letterboxed. Normally it isn't. Their home games are HD
on INHD, but not on D*.

NESN does the Red SOx games on Thursday nights in letterbox and has been calling it "Letterbox Thursdays". They started this a month or so ago.

No. Tonight is Wednesday and this is the night they do it and it's called "Widescreen Wednesdays"
