Looking at the New York channels, I see they're mostly on 119 T20 or 1s13 and 110 TP20s4.

I've looked at the spot beam maps on ekg.dbstalk.com, but still can't figure it out. Are the New York channels on national footprint or are they spotbeamed only to be received in the physical New York market? Are they moving / already have moved like the Los Angeles channels?

Thanks,
Bill

How specifically can you tell this information from looking at the TP/SB reference info? Thanks.

Use these pages to determine the beam coverage of the spots:

119 Spotbeam map:

1s13 means Transponder 1, Spotbeam 13 on 119W. Its a little hard to read, but spot 13 is the oblong circle in the Northeast. Using the chart at the bottom, transponder 1 and 3 at 119W are being used in this beam.

20s4 means Transponder 20, spotbeam 4 on 110W (use the first link). http://ekb.dbstalk.com/E10spots/e10t20.pdf shows the coverage of TP 20 in spot 4 (New York local area highlighted).

As has been said above, the big 4 are CONUS but that could change at any time. If they were to change, you'd have to be in the northeast to receive NYC locals.

why complain about price increases ?
