That last sat I was on was on channel 18 where the signal was so good.

Now, I'm starting at west limit again which is almost due west. I'm going to search for first strong signal. Be right back.

I am at 498 dish position. Dish is facing about where a winter sunset would hit it at south west. I'm on channel 19 with a signal fluctuating between 24 and 46. Skew at V 90. I think this may be C4 CSpan, but not sure. No picture. Now signal is gaining but not stable.

Channels 3, 9, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, have signal at 20 or better. 13 and 16 are the weakest of these. The other channels on this sat have 10 or less.

None of my sats are programmed. I am programming as I go, so I am moving through 6 4 4 options instead of the sat page.

Channel 9 fluctuates 16-32-- about 24 now--jumped to 42 for a second.

Channel 10 is doing the same except fluctuations are greater from 10 to 30. Just saw it jump to 90 for one split second. Skew change may help some-- not sure.

yes using 6 - 4 - 4
set it to G1 and make sure the channel is still 19 walk it slowly east 3-4 clicks no more that 10 . you should see a videociper channel pop up . ( a not authorized )

Okay I moved about 22 points east. At around 4962 I have a strong signal around 40, but if I view screen it is snow.

a channel should show on the screen your moving the dish from

so when you select 6 - 4 - 4 - select G1 you have the tuning screen you can see 1/3 of the screen if a channel pops in it will show here without leaving this screen

there are probably several different ways to do it , this is the way i do it pausing a few seconds between east or west clicks
signal level is listed and when it shows up signal Quality will be listed

this way i stay on the same screen without leaving ....

I can't get any kind of picture or black screen only snow. I think it's fried.
