Wondering if there is a generous tech or someone with a bunch of these that will be kind enough to send me one? I will Paypal some postage.

I am doing a new home and would like to pre-wire in my cabinet to my liking a node and splitter for the Hopper system. I had another thread and lots of folks explained what I needed to do to pre-wire the home. Block construction with fire stops in the walls so I'd like to get it right now.

I would like one Solo Node and one 3 way splitter to go to the other rooms/joey's.

Please PM if you can help and thanks very much.

Why buy it ahead of time? Just run the cables to a central point and the installer will provide one when they do your install./

Yeah, why buy the parts if you will be getting them free at time of install. If you get the wiring in then it will be a quick install. Besides if you put your own connectors on chances are they will all be cut off and changed by the Guy that comes in and does your install. -silly Dish quality rules-

Like everyone says, don't put on any connectors, the installer will probably cut them off, and certainly don't buy the node, they provide it free.
A more important consideration may be the cable you are using. Make absolutely sure that it is dish approved, especially from the node to the hopper, or they may just run new stuff anyway.
I just upgraded to a pair of hoppers from a 622 and 612 and the installer replaced the cables dish put in last time for the old receivers 2 years ago.

Seems that a lot of this "Dish Approved" is just hype and BS.

Where would one find this Dish approved material list or specification?

Some of it may be BS but the wrong cables may not work. They are not too particular what goes to the Joey since it doesn't carry the high frequencies the way the node to hopper cables do.
I don't know where they list approved cables and parts, there maybe something on the dish site that tells you. I know the installer for my hopper called back to his office to check to see whether mine would work or not. From different installs one type was on the "new" approved list and the other was not so he replaced it.
You could try asking on the dish forum on the dish site, they may help you out. You have to join it but it's free and they are quite responsive with most questions.

Dish approved cable is rj6 cable that rated to at 3GHz. Its rating has to be labeled on the cable jacket. Most RJ6 fits this standard but if its not labeled the tech can fail a QAS.

As for fittings they do have an apparent list of approved connectors (or so my FSM informed us this week). My office uses the PPC EX6XL but here is the full list. Approved fittings. GILBERT UR6. GILBERT UE7. HOLLLAND SLCU6. IDEAL 6RTQ PCT DRS 6. PCT TRS 6. PPC EX6XL. PPC CMP6. THOMAS AND BETTS. PCT TRS 6L. PPC EX6XL PLUS. PACE MVP RG6 U. HOLLAND SLCU 60.
Again if they bare found to have left an unapproved part in the installation they could fail a QAS
