NCAA says that Tressell is NOT "forthright"...

He is gone. There is no way he is going to explain all the cars, ESPECIALLY, the one he is driving now. The university will force him out like they did Tressell....which will be somewhat hypocritical because they have no issues praising/kissing is a$$ when everything is great and they(as in most universities) turn their backs when the shiznit hits the fan. No win situation any way you put it.

The car in question is a 2007 Nothing NEW.
His mother OWNS the car and is making payments, nothing different than any other person can do.

Since I posted that, I read the same thing.... It cost ~18,000, they traded in a Charger and got ~9000, etc, etc. The car is legally his Mom's. Pryor's family's lawyer also says he was properly insured the whole time and they have proof. For those that don't know, in OHIO, failing to show proof of insurance is a violation in itself ! It's generally rectified by going to court and showing proof to avoid it being assumed that there's NO insurance in affect. Apparently Pryor skipped that step though so the court had to assume he had no coverage and in turn suspended his license.

Actually it's not even THAT difficult normally, when I was young, I didn't have my insurance card with me, got pulled over, they wanted proof of insurance, they gave me a week to get it, took it down to the court house and showed them and was out of there, no Court involved, just show the person taking the tickets, they put it on file and we were done.

Thats what you took out of this story ?

I don't know enough details about the other cars so I'm only commenting on this one. One, it didn't have "little miles", it has 80,000. According to Kelly Blue Book, and there are (5) "styles" to pick from (I picked the middle one), with automatic transmission, it would list for $18285.

The article I read at USA Today (Terrelle Pryor's attorney releases purchase agreement for new car - Campus Rivalry: College Football & Basketball News, Recruiting, Game Picks, and More - USATODAY.com) states that "the purchase agreement shows the vehicle cost $18,404.50". Nothing out of the ordinary there... As for the rims, I honestly can't comment. The only pictures of the car I've seen were from the rear and the rims weren't identifiable. Do they cost $1500 for each ? Haha !!!

I thought to check RIMs for that car... Here is what TireRack lists for a 2007 350Z Enthusiast Coupe: Wheels for 2007 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast Coupe I also filtered by "black".

Prices range from $145/ea up to $999/ea (!!!). So, yes, salsa, you could almost be right about it being a $25000 car.

It would depend on the miles of the car....but is no way a kid will go cheap on the rims...the salesmen would not let them. We ALL know how "persuasive" they can be.

Wait. I thought he had a "guardian". So his mom can't raise him, but can make payments on a 350z?

I don't know who or what the "Guardian " is, thought that was odd when it was mentioned as well.
The articles are saying he lived with "Willie Burns" during high school and was his legal guardian. Why ? I haven't found an explanation yet.... First thought that comes to mind is Terrelle didn't live in the district where he went to high school so he moved in with this guy to make it "legal".

Miles of the car ? Huh ?

The car is used. Odds are the previous owner put the rims on it and the dealer is selling it as they rec'd it. Are you instead saying he bought the car then took it to a wheel shop and got them put on ?

Maybe his parents were divorced ?

Could be. We don't know. Way too many questions with this kid. Every time you have some answers, you get more questions.

There ya go again, just making stuff up and ASS-uming.

You had no facts to back up your statements and now that there are facts....."the salesmen would not let them. We ALL know how "persuasive" they can be." What a joke.

I stated that with low miles and those rims, it could become a $25,000. An Ohio State fan agreed.
And dealers make sweat deals all the time... maybe if they allowed you out of the basement on occassion, you might know basic car negociation 101.

But it's ok...you can continue with your head burried in sand.
