He redshirt a year? If so, being a redshirt junior means he has three years in for classes.

Also as far as playing, redshirt in your freshman year does not use your freshman playing eligibility. If he played years 2 and 3 he played year 2 as the redshirt freshman and 3 as a redshirt sophomore. Making him a redshirt junior.

It wasn't all Brewer - I think everyone here is counting out the fact that the VT Defense which has always been a Top 5 Defense in the nation stepped up and made things happen. My friends and I were watching and we knew it that once we scored that next to last TD that we knew JT was going to have to go to the air cause they couldn't run on VT...just wasn't happening. So once we said he would go to the air for the rest of the game it was a Pick6 coming and yep...the one that sent drinks flying! That is VT Football.

I will tell yall this and this is news I heard last week at the game. I normally tailgate with the Hokie Tailgaters club (big money involved here - I have my connections) and one of the guys that was on the committee for hiring the new AD told me that they are in talks with Metallica about coming to Lane Stadium. The initial plan was for this years Thursday night game against Miami for them to come but there are scheduling conflicts so they are now planning for next years Opener on Monday Night Labor Day against OSU at Lane Stadium. They will play live for VT's run into the field and then a half time show.
Now this is all in the plans and written in pencil for now but there are some big money people pushing to make this happen.

What did he graduate from, Gym class ?

I thought I remember hearing his name, thought he was very good then as well.

Who was the TT QB that played ahead of him ?

Wondering why it was being talked all week that he was a freshman when he's actually a Sr. Graduated SR at that.

My silly verizon fios has the SD sec network channel but not the HD one yet. Had to watch it via the watch espn site through my HTPC on the tv by selecting my provider and then it showed it to me in HD quality. I was really impressed at how good the quality of the picture was and with no lag but absolutely perplexed why the station can't be added but yet I have the right to stream it live. Both take up bandwidth. It's asinine in my opinion.

I went thru as many as I could really quick and that would be - no.

I'm waiting for the polls to come out because this win should vault VT up into top 15 IMO...they played like a top 5 team last night regardless of who they played.

His degree from Texas Tech was in Finance - Personal Financial Planning. He is at VTech because of the ncaa transfer rules, even though he graduated, TTech blocked his transfer, as he was wanting to do Graduate work at TCU or Texas. TTech would not allow him to transfer anywhere in the State of Texas or the Big 12 without sitting a year. Which is ridiculous considering he already graduated. Just like with Baker Mayfield, the other TTech QB that was in the 3QB rotation. He was a walk on with no support or obligations to the university and TTech blocked his transfer to OU, so he is sitting out this year as a walk on at OU.

Looking at that I'd drop south Carolina out and add BYU. USC struggled yesterday again nobody and BYU spanked a ranked Texas at Texas.

Also, lets see how far the Buckeyes drop, Buckeyes were picked in the top 5-6 before he season started, but that was with Braxton Miller at QB, the polls never had a chance to re evaluate once Miller went out for the season.

I would certainly hope that Va Tech jumps up into at least the top 15, don't know where they were coming in.

I've always said the Coaches poll means nothing ...
The Coaches are watching thier players and the film of the next team they play, they don't watch the rest of the nation play.

Lots of times they give the ballot to the Student ID

What I really liked the most out of last nights game are recruiting implications. VT is likely to snag a bunch of 2016 recruits out of just this win.
