Does not matter who is playing the best football until a playoff systems is in place. USC were victims to a VERY bad Stanford team AT HOME and a weak-a$$ schedule before the wins over an overrated Cal and ASU. Oklahoma was totally dominated by a mediocre Texas Tech and needed help from OTHER teams in the Top Ten to make their huge jump. Georgia, forget it...IF you cannot AT LEAST come in 1st in your division, you do not deserve a chance for the National Championship. Virginia Tech, they got their asses handed to them by LSU and it was a victim of early losses. Have I covered everyone??!! Believe me, NOBODY was hoping for a National Championship game where BOTH teams had 2 losses more than I did...the NCAA would be going crazy and in FULL SPIN MODE....but they did get the two teams right in my opinion...

In the end, let's be honest....neither YOURS, MINES or anyone else's opinion really matter because NONE of US here vote in the BCS, AP or the Coaches Poll. So people's opnions are nice....but they mean nothing in the grand scheme of things unless you vote for a champion. And besides, ANYONE that does not think the Ohio State does not belong in the championship game is a "homer" fool. Other than losing that one game, they did what they needed to do and others didn't....plain and simple.....

Even as an OU fan, I can't say they belong in the BCS Championship over OSU or LSU. OU's loss to Tech was just as bad as USC's loss to Stanford, and for the same reason. The QB couldn't play, and the sub couldn't get it done. Oregon is in the same boat. I can't put them in the championship just because they might have gone undefeated with Dennis Dixon at QB.

But I really would like to see OU play USC. Stupid Rose Bowl committee. Michigan!

Had Ohio State not been in the MNC game, I would have loved to see a OSU vs USC game, I think that would have been even better yet.

I have to admit, I only saw a few Oklahoma games at the end of the year...
I was impressed with them and am surprised that you feel that Oklahoma should not be in the game, that said, I see no realistic way that they would have been able to be 10th in the BCS with two weeks to go and make it to number 1 or 2 in 2 weeks, that would seem like something was not right.

Big Ten won 2 out of 3 last year and it didn't make a difference.

Michigan also lost in the Rose Bowl last year, and by a pretty big margin to USC. That game along with the tOSU game are what I think gave the analysts a dim view of the Big10 this year.

If tOSU and Michigan can win their bowl games this year, as well as Wisconsin and Illinois, that will make 4 quality wins, with 3 coming against the mighty SEC no less , AND a victory over USC, the media darling of the analysts. If that happens, you know the sports analysts will be back on the Big10 band wagon next year.

I would bet that there will be around 40 to 50 thousand fans traveling down for the game. Many won't have tickets but they will be in the city for the game. Normally OSU fans take over the city of where ever they play in the bowls.

I don't see that happening, I highly doubt that Illinois will be in that game much past halftime if USC is playing.

You are correct, many of the times in the Fiesta bowl, OSU fans take over the city and are welcomed usually very nicely down there.
Last year kinda ruined the feeling we had for the Fiesta Bowl. They did great down there till they moved to the Cardinals stadium, can we move that game back to where it was ????
I'd like to forget the showing they put on at the new stadium.

Half the tickets are reserved to the schools, to be split evenly so that each school is reseved 1/4 of the stadium, but other half of the tickets are sold to the locals. You can guess who they'll be rooting for.

So the object fro the Buckeyes is to come out real quick .... SCORE and stop them in the first series or so and that will quiet the crowd.... thats how you eliminate the crowd.

Now, we'll see if that happens or not.

for those of you who haven't watched this guy, he could run circles around darren mcfadden. smith should have received serious heisman consideration but playing in conference-usa, not too many people will see you week in and week out.
