NCAA Championship Week

Minnesota beats Wisconsin 51-46 in a game that has mixed emotions for me.

On one hand, I want to laugh at another really bad-scoring Big 10 game.

On the other side, I have some high-school friends near and dear to my heart who attend Minnesota.

Conference tournament games tonight:
Sun Belt:
FIU vs. Louisiana-Lafayette
Florida Atlantic vs. North Texas
Arkansas St. vs. Middle Tennessee
New Orleans vs. South Alabama
ULM vs. Denver

Louisiana-Lafayette, North Texas, Middle Tennesse, South Alabama and Denver all move on in the Sun Belt.

Not quite sure why they changed the format. Nobody wants to see these games and I don't think anyone felt sorry for DePaul and South Florida when they missed the BE Tournament in the past. Sometimes bigger is not better.

Is that really a big upset? I don't think big upset and Navy could be used in the same sentence since David Robinson played there.

I hear what you're saying, but in the context of the Patriot League it was an upset.

Navy was the #3 seed with a record of 19-11, and Colgate was the #6 seed with a record of 10-19.

Go Lipscomb and Quinnipiac!
Who the hell are these teams?

I used to live in the same town as Quinnipiac (Hamden, CT).

Former UConn assistant Tom Moore is their Head Coach.

Cornell will become the first team in the NCAA Tournament with a victory over Penn tonight.

Remember, the Ivy League doesn't have a conference tournament, therefore the regular season champ gets the automatic bid.

They better hope that this year's trip to the dance goes better than last year's. Cornell got destroyed by Stanford by about about 30 points last year. Maybe they can draw a Big Ten team this year who will be sure to hold the score down in the 50's for them.

Congrats to Cornell- 2009 Ivy League Champs!

The Big Red are the first team officially in the Big Dance.

Crazy ending in a Missouri Valley Tournament game.

Creighton had a 20-point lead in the second half, gave it up to Wichita State, trailed with a few seconds left after a 3-pointer, and Creighton avoided a monumental collapse with a buzzer-beater.
