This is off-topic, but I want to get it in quickly- Selection Sunday is also my birthday (March 15th)!
Well it's the 15th here on the East Coast so:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SABRES!!!!!

But I do think there are other teams that will be a bit overseeded.
Happy Birthday, Sabres!!!!
Btw, I mentioned this earlier but you might have missed it. Are you guys confused with some of the conferences? The Big West, Mountain West, Big Sky and the Wac? I mean I get confused to know which teams are in which conferences.
I definitely get confused with those four...........always have!
Last game of the day just underway on ESPN2: Big West Championship Game.
I cannot believe all the empty seats in Anaheim!

I think part of the problem is some of these schools have been in more than one of these conferences before.
Maybe if they played in the Arrowhead Pond instead of a Convention Center, there'd be more seats.
The Ducks had a day off, so why not take advantage?
One game left tonight- 19-11 Pacific vs. 16-13 Cal-State Northridge.
If Cal State Northridge wins, there's another play-in game nominee.
I like the new system even if it does make following the brackets more confusing and here's why. In the old system teams would get sent to wherever their region was but their fans couldn't usually follow them. That made for lots of games in empty arenas with fans just reading the newspaper. I went to a sub regional like this and it was BORING, like Big Ten boring. The games will always be exciting on TV but you need fans in the building that care.[
:up:up:up I agree. I liked the old way better. On the first day, one side of the bracket was done, the next day the other side was done. Short and too the point. Now its all over the place. Im also not a big fan of basically giving certain games in there own backyard. I just think if your going to do that, why dont you just play the games on the home court of the higher seeds like the womens tourney.
Yup, and then you have Utah in one conference and Utah St. another. New Mexico in one and New Mexico St another and so on........
Weren't you the one asking why the Pac 10 tournament isn't played in Boise? Because it would look like that.I can. How many fans can each of these schools have from a conference that almost know one cares about outside of California playing at a convention center arena during a very bad recession.
CS-Northbridge is actually the #1 seed.

Which shows you how much I follow that conference. Oh wait a minute, fox sports west/ prime ticket blackout all big west games. I hate to say it, but doing things like that may be exactly another reason why they might end up in that play in game or no better than a 15 or 16 seed in this years tournament. How can anyone follow them when games are blacked out and you just have stats to work with besides the very crud video online.
That's what they do, and then they pray that USC and UCLA will play each other because none of the other schools' fans travel to the tournament.Yes, I was. However if your trying for attendance, then you would want to play it in Los Angeles were the largest amount of ucla and usc fans are located.
