NCAA Championship Week

Minnesota ahead of Northwestern, 31-25 at the half.

This game also has big at-large implications. A Gophers win probably takes them of the bubble. The Wildcats need a deep run in the Big Ten Tourney.

With Cleveland St. beating Butler, the "bubble" got one team smaller, due to that conference getting an unexpected slot in the tournament. Minnesota's chances may have been shot when they lost to MICHIGAN for the second time last Saturday. MICHIGAN is also on the "bubble".

Lots of bubble games in the Big Ten tournament. Minnesota and Northwestern are playing what amounts to an elimination game right now and Michigan and Penn State have must wins today too.

I think Michigan is in as long as they don't get upset by Iowa later today.

IMO, that win AT Minnesota put the Wolverines over the top. They also have two huge OOC wins: Duke and UCLA.

Anders,
I agree with one caveat, IMO, this is a play-IN game for Minnesota and a play-OUT game for Northwestern.

I agree Bill. Michigan would be in today, but a loss to Iowa could be a dealbreaker. Minnesota is in better shape than Northwestern, who probably needs 2 wins to get in.

Minnesota to advance and play Michigan St. tomorrow.

I think this puts the Gophers into the Big Dance.

Northwestern is heading for the SAT.
