NBC-HD: LAX : Pilot 10pm EST

I was recording Las Vegas and when I peeked at it, it was 16:9 but I didn't listen for sound, I'll have to check it and LAX tonight when I play them back.

Shouldnt 16X9 fill the whole screen of my 34" HD monitor?

Same thing here in Cleveland - no dialog, just background sounds. Switched over to my NBC analog station...

The same here. I guess this means that most of NBC execs do not watch NBC in HD!

The problem with yesterday's audio was control from the network. At some
point, our engineering department should have manually switched the encoder
to facilitate 5.1.

Was this done?
