NBA Basketball 2009-10 Season

Cavs beat the Nyets.

5 in a row.

After going 0-2 in Jamison's first two games in Cleveland, they've now reeled off 5 straight.

A few notable stat lines:

LeBron: 26 pts, 14 ast, 7 reb, 3 stl, 1 blk (as an impressive stat line as that is, these type of wow numbers are becoming common place for LeBron. Goodness, we're spoiled in getting to witness greatness night in and night out! PS, he's still on pace to SHATTER Larry Bird's assist record.)

Hickson: 20 pts, 13 reb, 2 stl, 1 blk
Jamison: 19 pts, 9 reb, 3 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk

The one player worth a damn on New Jersey:

Brook Lopez: 21 pts, 14 reb, 2 ast

There's a fascinating NBA doubleheader tonight.

Lakers vs. Heat- Kobe and D-Wade seem to put on a show when they play each other- plus, it's a rematch from the first meeting which had an impressive finish

Suns vs. Jazz- Steve Nash and Deron Williams- an intriguing point guard battle.

I think the Lakers haven't won there since 2005 or something like that.

Hold up. Perhaps we're warming up to AI a bit too soon. The same weekend Iverson reportedly "took a leave of absence" to be with his daughter, he instead took the weekend to party it up in Charlotte with Jermaine Dupri.....

And before you go to check him into his special wing in Hell....he goes out ONE night for a charity event that raises money for his scholarship endowment ...and you are gonna crucify him for ONE NIGHT...??

Really? For his OWN charity event to raise money??!! Seriously....?!!

I just left the Triple A(American Airlines Area) and saw one heck of a game. WOW! On one end...Kobe was an assassin.
On the OTHER....I saw a COMPLETE team effort. The HEAT still have some MAJOR issues closing out quarters this year.
I think Wade some really nice numbers considering he had a off night shooting and some stingy defense played on him
THE best defender in the NBA, Ron Artest. 28 points...13 assists ....7 rebounds. Richardson was LIGHTING UP Kobe with
3s from everywhere for 29 points. GREAT game all around...and the win was nice too! ;-)

I told you. Lakers have a tough time winning there for some reason.

Woah skillet. Easy. I'm not checking anyone into H- E- Double Hockey Sticks. I am just pointing out a very strange coincidence that on the weekend of his leave of absence to be with his daughter, instead of being at home or even in the same state, he's out in a club in North Carolina. It's up to each individual to connect the dots.

HE's BACK!!!!

In a move sure to delight Cavaliers fans, Zydrunas Ilgauskas has announced his intentions to rejoin the team and has asked agent Herb Rudoy to begin negotiations with the Cavs on March 22, the first date he can do so.

According to his agent, a major deciding factor in returning was because of the "overwhelming outpouring of support by the fans and his teammates".

This absolutely made my day! Can't wait to see you back on the court in the city and team you belong big fella!

Great news about Z!!!!!!! I was a little worried he was going to get a multi-year deal elsewhere and jump all over it. I bet he goes for the Championship this year and then retries.

Every team has an opponent who has their number.

The Lakers have the Heat
The Celtics have the Hawks
The Cavs have the Bobcats

The best part was, late into the 3rd quarter and midway through the 4th...the HEAT went to a ZONE defense and the great Phil Jackson, was totally clueless on how to tackle the issue. He had no answers to a zone defense, it's when they went BACK to the man-to-man, is when the Lakers closed the 4th quarter on a 14-6 run to tie the game.

...so for a brief moment, to tackle the hight problem...Spoelstra OUT COACHED Phil Jackson.

I agree HD, it sure does seem odd...

There are some things bigger than the game of basketball. Health is one of them.

Late in the 3rd quarter, Rodney Stuckey went into "violent siezures". The game was stopped for 20 minutes. He was taken away in a stretcher and to the Cleveland Clinic.

Thoughts and prayers with Stuckey and Detroit Rock city!

I hope Stuckey makes a speedy recovery.

You never want to see something like this happen. (Especially someone who is capable of leading the Pistons into a new decade)
