I am not an NBA fan, but this afternoon on WTEM (ESPN980) in DC, they did a segment on the John Thompson Show about the book that Tim Donaghy had written and the NBA fought to stop publication. According to them, there are some very incriminating statements. If there is any substance to them, the whole NBA bubble might be burst. As they pointed out, no one believed Conseco at first, but he sure is looking good now.Could be very interesting.

Shelden Williams (who?) with ten rebounds in 24 minutes tonight, following nine rebounds in 22 minutes Wednesday night, is averaging almost as many rebounds per minute as Wilt Chamberlain did in his prime!

Williams was drafted 5th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in 2006, but was moved twice and never found his niche. The good news is, the Celtics signed him for $825,000. The bad news is, it is a one year contract with no options. If he contributes like this for the rest of the season, he will become next year's Six Million Dollar Man for some other team.

It's amazing the difference KG makes.

KG is great and all, but IMO, the biggest difference in this year's Celtics is the depth off the bench.

'Sheed, Daniels and House can keep up the majority of the first teams in the NBA, and Shelden Williams has been a very pleasant surprise so far.

When they get Big Baby back in late Dec/early Jan, this team will be SCARY good!

Like I said here a couple of weeks ago: this is the best Celtics team ON PAPER, since the great 1986 team.

WOW...the off season workouts for Jermaine O'Neal have paid off BIG TIME! 2 Games, he has atleast 20 points a game and atleast 12 rebounds!! He looks stronger and in great shape! IF he were to give the HEAT something SIMILIAR to this kind of production.....the HEAT will scare some people later in the season.
