I heard that was thinking what?? is this a joke.

I have been to Utah many times... there is little to no Jazz played there. LOL!
I've been to LA many times, and I can't remember seeing a lake there either. Yeah, I know that teams can carry their names with them when they move, but why keep such an unsuitable name? You don't see the OKC SuperSonics, do you? New Orleans and Louisiana have a long standing relationship with pelicans, both in sports team names and as the state bird.

Is a team named the Pelicans more ridiculous than one named the Heat, or the Thunder, or the Jazz? It's just as suitable as the Knickerbockers, or the Celtics, or the Pistons. You know, I kind of like the sound of "los Pelicanos", or would that be "el Pelicano de Nuevo Orleans"?

I've got an idea, why don't Charlotte, Utah and New Orleans work out a three way trade for naming rights?

That way the "Hornets" can return to Charlotte, the "Jazz" to New Orleans and by default the Utah franchise can become the "Bobcats". :D

Sure there are.. google the following:

Lake Balboa in Encino.
Lake Hollywood in Hollywood Hills.
Mac Arthur Park in Los Angeles.
Castaic Lake in Castaic.

Just to name a few

great ideas ;) . notice how you didn't mention pelicans. it just sounds so much worse than lakers, jazz or whatever other example you want to use.

there you go :D

Rondo has a torn ACL. Done for the year.

If the season wasn't over already, it is now.

Now on the stupid Draft lottery.
i heard wade was responsible for that too ;) . good win for the celts, pathetic effort by the heat. miami is playing a very dangerous game here trying to cruise through the regular season. i hope it doesn't come back to haunt them. by the way, it was obvious wade was struggling yesterday so why SPO didn't keep feeding the ball to bosh is confusing. the guy had 10 points in the 1st qtr and you decide to barely go to him for the rest of the game?

They lost because of how much guys with WIDE OPEN shots are missing. Battier is struggling big time. The time has come to get Bosh much more involved. He had a dominating 1st quarter and then they stop feeding him the ball. The job he did on the boards was monster! Boston played very good defense on Wade, who was the hot man coming into this game.

I blame Bernard Pollard.

The only way the Heat do not win the east is if Derrick Rose comes back 100% and Chicago's bigs can dominate the paint, and than I'm not even sure.

The NBA regular season has become almost irrelevant at 82 games, the Heat will play well when it matters.
