Hi guys,
Finally broke down over the weekend and carried the TV and receiver out to the G10r dish.
I set up and began tweaking the LNB (Invacom SNH-031), slid it in and out,
and rotated it for skew. Also I bent the brackets some as these are home made.
After 5 minutes I had 94% quality on the stronger x-ponders
and 70 to 87% on the weaker ones, NO rain problems, as it came down pretty heavy here one night.
As suggested by the senior members, I found slow and minute adjustments worked the best , no "bull in a china shop" stuff.
Like any thing, it's a learning curve.....:D

Joe, glad to hear you got it working :) G-10R is an awesome bird, my CM 1M dish is dedicated to it, and it is most likely the favorite fixed-dish target amongst the members here. Using a small TV and the receiver at the dish site is always the best way to find the birds and tweak your dish :)

Anyone knows how many TPs are alive normally on G10R ? The last time I went there, I got some with low quality and I think I was missing some also...

I get about 46 channels if memory serves. (Ku)
I'm still not sure if I'm getting them all even with the great signal strength and quality.

go to mike kohl's tp list. It's got the most updated tp info I think. There are a couple of channels on there like vyx atlanta that are news feeds that only show up on occassion. I mainly use g10r for WGMU, WMQF, and KKTU... and maybe the occassional research channel show.
