I've seen that. 3 500 Dishes w/DP singles/Duos for each WA Sat to a 44 Switch

Ok, that just seems like a lot of retooling for no gain. A modified LNBF ala the EA 1000.2 LNBF would seem to be a lower cost change to accommodate the sat count reduction.

Will Dish add my Locals in HD to either 110 or 119? Right now they are on 61.5. If they do , I can get rid of the wing satellite which has problems when the foliage gets thick. My Sd locals are still on 110. My satellite signal status box still show 119,110,129,61.5.

Which DMA are you in? It's not uncommon for the HD locals to be on one arc, and the SD locals to be on the other.

Thanks... As part of the WA transition, I suppose Dish may upgrade the signal from MPEG-2 SD to MPEG-4 HD, so we'll just have to wait and see it seems. I expect it would be a low priority until all the bulk changes are completed in relation to leaving 129.

No, there are no changes to the Eastern Arc.

BTW, here's the update on 129
Starting on 7/11, orbital 129 will no longer carry content for the majority of customers. Technicians will continue to see 129 in the checkswitch results until 7/21.
All content currently provided by orbital 129 will be fully transitioned to orbitals 110/119 as of 7/21.

To be fair, there could be a warehouse full of D500 out there as well (albeit covered in cobwebs lol).

The DPP Twin isn’t made anymore as far as I know but Dish Mexico uses D500’s to catch 77w, or at least they did 10 years ago last time I went south of the border.

It looks like all the changes occurred overnight! As I was going through the channels to see if everything moved, I see that channel 6064 is currently mapped to an old app that sends the receiver into an endless loop instead of going to the SiriusXM music channel. I can't seem to get out of it, even by resetting the receiver because it remembers 6064 was the last channel I tuned into. So hopefully that will resolve itself once the transition is complete during the overnight hours!

I do expect Dish will remove 129 sat support from all receivers soon, correct? It appears like everything has moved off of 129 sat except for a few local channels in some places lol.

90 minutes later the phantom app is still there, and it is on 6004 as well :)

Jul 20th, 129 will basically cease to exist. Software updates (not sure about VIPs) will remove the 129 from Check Switches
