Move or New Customer

In about 2 months I will be moving and am curious about what my best option is.

Should I request a move from D or should I close my current account and start a new account in my wife's name at our new address?

If I select the 'move' option, will I keep all of my current equipment and have it moved or will I get any new equipment? Also, if I move will I be given a chance to expand my current equipment? I'd like to add an additional HD receiver.

If we do the new account option we'd be eligible for the AAA discount, so that would be one benefit of that option.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
I'd suggest you do the mover's connection. This would be the easiest way. DirecTV will install the dish at your new location and connect your current receivers (that you take with you). You can always negotiate new equipment as well as the DECA/MRV install.
 
Yes, my contract has been fulfilled. I guess I am somewhat of a free agent. That being the case, I don't guess there is any was to negotiate the AAA discount onto my contact once I move, is there?
