More info on NFL RedZone on Dish

Which I clarified in following posts before you responded at all. I was referring to what others were claiming. I have no way to tell since I only have Direct.

I even stated that this is what others were claiming, asked questions, and said that they could be wrong.

Again, I did not make that claim myself.

oh brother people can't ever admit when they are wrong. Be a man say I didn't know.

Hasn't that always been the case with the RZC? I thought it was already known that this would be the case anyway?

For those with clarity issues, these are questions, not criticism. Questions are designed to get answers, not stir up trouble. Don't misunderstand my intentions and misquote me later.

Now I see why your spoiler disclaimer is about your comments not being criticism and aren't designed to stir up trouble, because they sure do come across that way.

Perhaps. I was just making the observation after a few hours of watching the channel that this is one of the best features.
The no commercials is great.

I think this channel is more made for people like myself, casual football fans with no real team to follow, that does not care to sit around for 6 hours watching several games. Key plays and highlights is all I need. I will never pay for ST, but if Direct did offer a stand alone RZC I would definitely purchase that.

Perhaps.

Sometimes questioning to gain info can come across as questioning others points. Not my intention at all.

I have a team to follow, but now don't have to sit through 3 1/2 hours to see 10 minutes of key plays and you totally left out the vast number in fantasy football leagues who now get to see their players score on real time.

Then do so already...

For clarity, yet again. I never meant to imply that Direct RZC has exclusive coverage. I simply meant to discuss the differences between the two and to determine if what others have posted was accurate or not. As I have stated over and over and over and over (even before you replied to me).

Is your team shown locally?

The only way I can justify the purchase of ST for myself is if my team was not my local team and/or I am just a huge football fan that loves to watch several games (like I am with baseball.

That is why I wish Direct offered the RZC like Dish, Comcast, FiOs, and U-Verse do.

I tell you who is feeling dumb, Direct's Lawyers for not putting an exclusion clause. This channel is going to cost them tons of subscribers. Not only ones that were going to Direct, like me, but ones next season with Direct that have wound up with ST and only watching their RZ channel.

That remains to be seen. It will cost them some subs, that if for sure. But how much, who knows? Subs like myself and you may just switch providers or not go to Direct. I would bet that most ST subs actually want ST and all of its features.

Only about 3 times a year. I am in Atlanta and a Bucs fan. And for whatever reason, the local channel usually shows a Cowboys or Patriots game instead of an NFC South game when the Falcons aren't on. And after last year's blow up at the end of the season, they have no prime time games this year so I may only see them twice. I was going to get it to watch every one of their games, but there is so much down time, and especially this year, when they suck, RZ is a much better option.

My understanding is that a vast majority of ST subs watch RZ most of the time, that is why I say that.

I think the NFL redzone channel is an absolute home run. Much better than I expected.

I agree.

I was expecting (read: dreading) that they would only show the key plays with talking heads killing time and over analyzing every little nuance and statistic until the next key play or score came along and then repeating the process. We get enough of that on the network coverage and the ESPN's. It's nice to be able to watch continuous FB action!!

One thing I haven't seen commented on is the PQ. Seems a little off on this channel compared to the networks. When RZ shows the same game that's on, say, FOX, it's easy to see when doing a side-by-side PIP.

I haven't seen any PQ issues.

What calls? They showed a couple of press conferences after the game, Favre, Sanchez and Romo, that I saw, Romo had techical Difficulty. They gave an update on McNabb, fx rib.
DirecTV RZC is currently showing highlights of the completed games called, "Calls of The Game", and is still breaking into live games. Just wondering if the NFL RZC channel is also currently showing a highlight show or something else.

Yes, they are doing Game Highlights right now. They did a wide shot a TV had the NFL logo with GAME HIGHLIGHTS on it.
