I was just thinking that...I hope that any efforts on the part of us VOOMers won't be compromised if that information is fictional. There is already a pretty nice number of people who have signed, let's not ruin it. I just find it very difficult to believe that someone would be privy to such information from a source who even the "connected" people on here don't have.

yeah those are the ones i want too. im not a movie person but when i first got dish i watched movies on voom because it was the first time i saw HD. i was amazed!! i was like :O

Yeah, best best is to bug the hell out of them and downgrade service. Charlie hates losing customers and money. I just get the feeling (and I could be wrong) that some of these channels will be back on E*. I wonder if anyone from E* reads these posts on SatGuys??? Again, I just don't see any good reasons why one would not choose D* over DirectvJr. Crapping on your best customers (whether you like Voom or not E* did not handle this well) and then lying about your total # of hd channels. What is he thinking? What is the total # of real hd channels on E* at the moment? Can WFN and some others even be called and Hd channel? Surfing through these channels yesterday not much HD to see.

Im with you Exactly. The only reson I came back to dish years ago was voom.
Nothing, Im mean nothing looked as good in HD as the voom channels.

It was exciting to have something no one else had. Plus the cool content. Yes, they did repeats.

However they did start to improve.

Im still waiting to see how this pans out.

I am in the group that has both dish and direc tv. Dish has always been the main unit in my household.

2 reasons I stayed with dish:
1: voom
2: DVR

I will not stay with dish solely because of their dvr.
There content is almost the same as direc now.

I dont need 2 direc tv systems.

I am furious at dish for hijacking our beloved voom channels!!!!!

They are like theives in the night!!!

Then they try to pull the wool over my eyes with these lousy replacements???

Yep, Now that the $hit has hit the fan I can't believe that Charlie won't do everything he can to patch this up. The negative press and pure hatred from subscribers towards Charlie must make him feel a little bad. We (us) on this board have been pretty laid back but what I have read on other boards is much more negative towards Charlie. As I said I don't want to leave E* so I hope they get this fixed ASAP.

Some of us maybe Voom fanboys, but your statement is that of a Dish fanboy. I just can't believe so many will roll over and continue giving Charlie the benefit of the doubt in the blind hopes they deliver on their promises. Obviously prospective subscribers have noticed, but certain current subscribers don't...

BTW, I have downgraded to HD only and the D* installer will be here next Friday. I know Dish doesn't care and that's THEIR problem.

I think you're misreading what I've said...I downgraded Dish to HD only, with full intentions of dumping it completely. I have ordered D* with HD/HD extra, all movie tiers and season ticket. If Voom makes an appearance again, I will just have both, but it's a gamble I am willing to take.

$100 off my bill is a DOWNGRADE.

No need for the SD and premiums now. If Voom comes back I will adjust accordingly. Although, I think my wife is going to flip when she finds out about a second dish going up and the subsequent bills in the short-term.

Wow, that is a big hit for a company that is already on the decline. Your talking of course sd subscribers. I am only directing my comments at hd subscribers- the ones that spend the big $$$$. Believe me Charlie don't want anyone to leave or spend less money at this point. Especially loyal customers spending lots of cash.
