It's one thing that the Red Sox-Angels game is being moved to 6 ET/ 3 PT to accomodate an irrelevant award show that happened four days ago . But, it's quite another, because of this move, other games are blacked out because of the ESPN exclusivity window. That is pure BS....the blackout rule should have been waived today.

Any Comcast-MLB-EI subscribers from the Indianpolis Area?

I seem to be stuck in a Twilight Zone - I live just south of Indianapolis (46143) and I tried to order the MLB-Extra Innings package from Comcast last night. I have their digital cable and Fox Sports Net MidWest is blacked out so I don't get the Cards.

They warned me that I would not get St. Louis Cardinals games because I'm in their home market - yet when I've looked it up I'm only in the home market of the Reds/Cubs/Sox and not the Cards.

I spoke with a Comcast supervisor also and he confirmed that they blackout out Cardinals games on MLB-EI AND the regular cable channels through FSNMW.

So, are any of you from my market, with Comcast and MLB-EI that can confirm that the Cards are indeed blacked out? Also, does anyone know why?

The reason the Cards are blacked out on FSN Midwest here in Central Indiana is because we are not in the Cards home market. St. Louis does not claim Indianapolis as in their market, so Comcast can't turn around and tell you they black them out because you are in their market. They cannot black out Cards games in MLB-EI. I don't think they have anything to do with the blackouts other than enforce them on FSN Midwest anyway as MLB-EI comes from InDemand on cable. Comcast is just the carrier.

I think you need to contact MLB directly, (good luck with that), or failing that, try getting ahold of the Media Director of the Cardinals. You should be able to do that on their website.

I am pretty sure DirecTV does not do this, as I have seen Cardinal games on thier version of MLB-EI here in Central Indiana.

I think you need to contact MLB directly, (good luck with that), or failing that, try getting ahold of the Media Director of the Cardinals. You should be able to do that on their website.

I am pretty sure DirecTV does not do this, as I have seen Cardinal games on thier version of MLB-EI here in Central Indiana.

I agree it makes no sense, but the Comcast supervisor down in Bloomington seemed to genuinely believe that they would NOT have Cards games on MLB-EI, so I was taking his word for that before shelling out $129. I think he's wrong on the reason or they are misunderstading something, but I feel like I need to prove it to them.

Your idea of contacting the St.L Media Director has potential. I've also sent emails to InDemand and Fox Sports Net trying to get this figured out.

By posting here I was hoping to find someone around my area using Comcast that could confirm that the actually do get Cardinals/FSNMW on MLB-EI.
