Site is slooooow

For some reason, the satelliteguys.us site is loading a lot slower than usual on both Chrome on my Asus laptop and Safari on my iPhone.
I'm also seeing longer appearances of the blue bar at the top and the "3 blue bars" loading symbol.
Is anyone else also having the same problem? Thanks in advance.

and as you said that, the site is now suddenly back to loading faster for me on both platforms, weird.

I wonder if it was the once a month super backup that backs up everything.

When that one happens things slow down when it compresses everything into a gz file.

Well one,I don't live here and two,I don't want someone to expect a quick reply because they think I'm here,when I'm not.
And Cee,I use a computer,my phone is dumb,it's so dumb it needs little copper wires running out to a big stick next to the street.

I've never used Edge for satguys so for grins I just pulled up the site,entered name/password and here I am,with Win7 Pro.

It's back. Taking anywhere from 10-30 seconds for any page to open

Just loaded 10 different pages here and all popped right up. Server load looks normal too.

Took a quick look and found our state program AWSTATS stuck and causing issues.

I killed the process, so hopefully it will be better.

I HATE when things break and I havent touched anything.

If not better I will investigate more when I get to my desk.

Ok I am here at work, and still not as snappy as I would like.

It appears the databse server is trying to repair the search index. The process list is showing

Repair by sorting

REPAIR TABLE `xf_search_index`

I would like to kill it, but I am reading to leave it alone and let it finish. As killing it can cause other issues.

I am keeping an eye on it.

BTW a new version of Xenforo (our forum software) was released yesterday. I am holding off for about a week to make sure it is stable.

It took a little longer to load the site, a minute ago when I came on, posted and it still took about 8 seconds to post.

This edit was better, but not back to normal.

Still working on things... the search index was corrupt so I am reindexing it as we speak.
