This should be a good matchup. Lincecum can dominate with the best of him, but he has also had a month stretch this year where he pitched very badly. Lowe can be a pitcher that dominates with few pitches and all ground balls, or become very unlucky where ground balls keep finding holes even though they are not hit hard.
I still look for a good pitching duel because of two dominate pitchers, a pitcher friendly park, and two teams with mediocre offenses

He had an interesting stat on the Reds. Throughout the regular season, the Reds have losing records to all of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place NL teams. Instead, they earned the bulk of their regular season wins against the lousiest teams in the league. It also helps that they play in the worst division in Baseball and they play in an offense-friendly ballpark.
Does this make them a fraud?

Are you kidding me? It doesn't make them a fraud. It just shows they beat the teams they were supposed to beat.
It does not make them a fraud at all. It makes you wonder if they can play with the big boys, but they are certainly not a fraud. And they can eliminate all questions by beating the Phillies in this series.

Ok, so they won their division. Is that really a crown of honor? It's a terrible division. Someone had to win it. The stats prove they can't beat a team with a winning record. That's kind of fraud-ish to me.

And someone needs to tell St. Louis that they are in a "terrible" division...I'm sure they don't know that!!!...

The Reds seem to be 1-12 against all good teams.

Someone from the Big East is going to make a Bowl game. Does that mean whoever comes out of that division isn't a fraud? Like the Reds, they beat up on lousy competition, but they lose against above average teams.

Apples & Oranges. Earning a berth in the Beef 'O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl is just a tad bit different than qualifying for the MLB playoffs.

Not really on the base that division winners get to advance. It doesn't matter how bad their division is.
Take another example in the NFL.
Knowing what we know now, the winner of the NFC-West will be a fraud. Sure someone will advance to the playoffs, even if they have a .500 or below record just by default. That doesn't mean there are other teams around the league that are better than them that won't make the playoffs.
