Ok, then what's the point of this award? I'm not trying to argue, with you Ramy or anyone else, I just don't see the point of this award.
It's like an ESPY award then, and call it such. Don't base it on something and not go by that when it comes to handing out the hardware.
Here you go MLB, here's a bag to put all your BS in.
Zack Greinke gets the AL Cy Young Award. Most of us pretty much got this one correct
A agree with Tracy getting the award, but don't agree that Scioscia should have won. I would have given it to Ron Gardenhire. The Angels had a very talented team in the weakest division on all of baseball, and they would have won despite Scioscia. The Twins came from behind to win their division with a team that had a lot less talent in a more competitive division.

Should that be a factor? I think a minor one. But, the whole team had to bond together and families usually do that even without a leader.1. The Angels had to overcome the tragic death of Nick Adenhart
You don't win a division on one month. And to excel in the toughest month of all does require good leadership.2. The Twins didn't do much until September. I wouldn't name Gardenhier Manager of the Year based on one good month.
Technically the Tigers did make the playoffs, albeit a 1 game against the Twins.
Basically, if that's the case then what's the point? If all the award votes are popularity contests then don't call then different awards.
Joe Mauer, hey sorry you didn't win MVP this year, but here's a GG for ya, WTF?
The pot head wins the NL Cy Young for the second straight year. I would bet that Wainwright or Carpenter would have beat him if they were not on the same team.
This dude is living in the wrong era, that's for sure. Right city, wrong era.
And I would be willing to bet if these two were not on the same team, then Wainwright would have wonHere's your voting break down :
Tim Lincecum 11 12 9 100
Chris Carpenter 9 14 7 94
Adam Wainwright 12 5 15 90
Wainwright had 1 more First place vote, but 10 less over all fwiw.
This was probably the easiest pick. There was nobody really close to touching him. In fact, if they had a MLB MVP, he would have won that hands down as well.BREAKING NEWS:
ESPN just announced that Albert Pujols has won his 2nd straight NL MVP award!!!...
Albert Pujols of St. Louis Cardinals is unanimous National League MVP - ESPN
As it should have beenThe real drama about the NL MVP vote to me was who'd be the runner-up.
This year, it's Hanley Ramirez.
