MLB 2013 Season

I was listening to MLB radio while cycling this morning and they had a discussion on the importance of seeding. They stated the same thing I stated, the seeding position in baseball does not give a team an advantage. Any team is just as likely to advance to the next level regardless of where they are seeded. Yet, players, teams, fans, and media still put a high importance on something that has been shown to not be important.

Angel Stadium (particularly the outfield has been overtaken by BEES! Play has stopped. The swarm is so thick in some areas that the game may be called on a beautiful sunny Fall-like afternoon in Anaheim!!!!

UPDATE: Play has resumed as they have confined most of the bees to a bushy area with several boxes of honey! However, bees can be seen flying about the field and they are cautiously optimistic the honey will last thru 7 more innings!!!!

WILD.

The same thing happened in SD a few years ago.

CONGRATS TO THE OAKLAND A's FOR CLINCHING THE AL WEST!!!!

To say it has been a miserable season for me is an understatement. However, it gives me no greater pleasure than to see the Rangers slip further and further from their one time dominance. I hope Oakland does well in the playoffs. They are an exciting bunch of characters.

The Dodgers lift Greinke, who's batting .339, after only 72 pitches of 5 scoreless innings, for pinch hitter batting .215. Why?

I know, I don't get it either. After all, the Dodgers are still in contention for the #1 seed!!

I understand just letting him pitch to stay warm. But why pinch hit for him, especially with their worst bench player? Greinke has the highest BA on the team.

I think they will end up playing the Tigers in the 1st round ...
They are the team that worries me most.

Going by that theory, you should hit Grenke over a starting player if Grenkes avg is higher, never mind that Grenke has 1/10th the at bats.
