MLB 2012 Postseason

I wasn't a fan of Bobby Valentine but the Boston Media wasn't always honest about some of the actions and comments that he made. And the day Bobby didn't show up early for a game was blown way out of proportion .

After the World Series wins in 2004 and 2007 this is how Red Sox Nation stands. Johnny Pesky has passed away. Theo is gone. Curt Schilling is broke after his attempt at a video game company. Many good players have been traded. We don't have a good catcher. It's easy to see why many fans are starting to move on to other sports. 2013 and beyond are going to be tough years in Boston.

Friday's Playoff Schedule

Cardinals (Lohse) at Braves (Medlen)- NL Wild Card Game- 5:00pm ET (TBS)
Orioles
(Saunders) at Rangers (Darvish)- AL Wild Card Game- 8:30pm ET (TBS)

I will be pulling for the Cards and the O's. Even though it would make a good story for Chipper to get a ring, the only NL team I hate more than the Giants is the Braves.

Here are my predictions, going all the way to the World Series:

ALWC: Rangers over Orioles
NLWC: Cardinals over Braves

ALDS: Tigers over Athletics in 4
Yankees over Rangers in 5

NLDS: Giants over Reds in 5
Cardinals over Nationals in 4

ALCS: Yankees over Tigers in 6

NLCS: Giants over Cardinals in 6

World Series: Giants over Yankees in 7

Orioles beat Rangers
Braves beat Cardinals

ALDS-Orioles over Yankees 3-2
ALDS-Tigers over A's 3-2
NLDS-Reds over Giants 3-1
NLDS-Nationals over Braves 4-3

ALCS-Tigers over Orioles 4-2
NLCS-Reds over Nationals 4-3

World Series-Tigers over Reds 4-2

Considering their team colors, I think it would be appropriate that the Giants and Tigers meet in the WS.....with it ending in a memorable Game 6 (Halloween night). :)
