The Nats are building a very nice team...

Well, that CONFIRMS that the Tigers won't be picking him up in Spring Training ...

Looks like they were serious when they said they weren't interested ....

However there are rumblings now they may still be looking into Closers ... Baltimore's Jim Johnson is the latest to be mentioned.

Baltimore has a good young team that they want to keep together. I do not know how loaded the farm system is for the Tigers, but it will take quite a bit to land Jim Johnson.

ESPN reporting that the Red Sox will sign Mike Napoli to a one-year deal, instead of a three-year one originally mentioned...

And for just $5 million guaranteed. That means that there is a consensus among 30 major league teams that he is a physical disaster waiting to happen. Bobby Jenks was given twice that much. Matt Clement four times as much. And J.D. Drew...

Yep, quite a reduction from the original 3/39.

Methinks the Angels could see this coming so they parted with him abruptly when they could.

Not a big name deal but a "Nice Guy" deal....Mark DeRosa goes to the Blue Jays for $750,000 and an option for next year. This guy is the ultimate "Team Player" wherever he goes. I imagine DeRo being a fine manager someday.

Rumor going around that the Reds are about to sign Armando Galarraga. For those that don't know him he threw a almost perfect game due to an umpire error.

I hope that DirecTV does not decide to spend months negotiating the carriage of this channel leaving us Dodgers fans with DirecTV, or any other provider for that matter, high and dry.

So now there will be about 6 RSNs in SoCal?

You know that if it's true, there will be a substantial cut in FOX RSN's here. They will have lost their two biggest drawing teams (Lakers and Dodgers) to TWC. All that is left professionally would be Angels, Padres, Clippers, Kings and Ducks. Add in USC and UCLA basketball/football and some high school football and that's basically it.

What scares me is what we are gonna be paying for cable and DTV once this all goes thru. We're talking $7 billion here!!!!!
